This idyllic isle has no roads, rickshaws, cars, or electricity (our lodge does have a generator for laptop addicts) just beach, coconut trees, beach, early morning fish markets, beach, low-tide connected mini-islands, beach, fisher-folk, swimming, beach, a lone sea-turtle conservation project and still more beach. Overnight in 'the' hotel right on the beach. (B) (L) (D)

Free to spend swimming, soaking up the sun, circumambulating the island by foot (a 3 to 4 hour stroll), having fun with beach sports, visiting the sea turtle conservation project, the local fish market, village homes, or when the tides are down walking over to two tiny uninhibited islands. Options include visiting the young Coast Guards (with the only phone and color TV on the island) and very private & exclusive beach picnics or parties. Overnight at a beach-side hotel. (B) (L) (D)
