Lisbon is the city of seven hills and plenty of colorful districts. On our bike tour we take a dive into the cultural abundance of the different quarters. We bike first along the river to the port area to have a taste of Alfama, Lisbon's oldest district, that stayed intact during the past centuries and has just started its revival. After we find our way out of the labyrinth of Alfama’s crooked alleys, we take a glimpse at the oldest Cathedral of Lisbon, called Sé.
Our next stop is Baixa, Lisbon's Downtown area and the real heart of the city where straight streets, just like a chessboard, cross each other. Great time and place to stop for a little Portuguese speciality and have a sip of our famous cherry liqueur, ginja. To get back to shape, we do a decent climb on the city’s most famous avenue, Avenida de Liberdade to see where the nobility took their night strolls centuries ago and that will take us to the top of Edward VII's Park and it's splendid view overlooking the city and the river Tagus. On our way back we discover Bairro Alto, Lisbon's most famous and typical night life district and also Chiado, a vibrant commercial district.
