Your Itinerary: Day 1: On arrival at Chiang Mai Airport, you will be met by your guide and taken to your hotel. In the evening attend a traditional Khantoke dinner with Thai dancing. Includes: (D). Day 2: After breakfast at the hotel, you will be picked up and driven to the temple of Doi Suthep, situated on the hill overlooking Chiang Mai. Explore this very famous temple, with its golden chedi, and then drive down the hill for lunch. After lunch tour the large variety of handicraft centers where you can see and buy such items as saa paper, celadon, silver, furniture, lacquer ware, traditional umbrellas etc. You will be taken back to your hotel in the late afternoon. Includes: (B), (L). Day 3: Drive out to the Chiang Dao Elephant Camp, one of the best elephant camps in Northern Thailand. Here you will see some very well cared for elephants. They take their bath early morning, then practice and demonstrate their skills. Afterwards take a 1 1/2 hr elephant ride to a Lisu hill tribe village. After lunch raft down the river on bamboo rafts for 1hr. Drive back to Chiang Mai and transfer to your hotel. Includes: (B), (L). Day 4: Transfer back to Chiang Mai Airport for your onward flight.
