Day 6: This morning visit the two centuries old Wang Family Courtyard home. This home was built over a period of three generations of family members and is well preserved. Continue on to the Chang Family Courtyard before taking a motorcoach to Tiayuan and checking into your hotel. Includes: (B), (L). Day 7: Board a train this morning for Datong. After lunch, your group will enjoy an extraordinary visit to China's largest steam locomotive museum. On display are the oldest steam engines of China, the carriage once Empress Dowager Cixi traveled on, the earliest bells, head lights, various tools used on the railway in China as will as the 1st, China-made steam engine by this plant. Includes: (B), (L). Day 8: Visit another UNESCO World Heritage Site today - the astounding Yungang Grottoes containing China's largest and oldest stone sculpture. It is comprised of 53 large caves, 1,100 small ones and niches with 51 thousand stone-carved statues of Buddha typical examples of the combination of Chinese and foreign sculptural arts at the time.
