Day 1: Meet at Canoe Alaska in Tok at ~9am and travel the Taylor Highway to the Dennison Fork of the Fortymile River. Lunch will be served at the put-in. After lunch, we'll discuss river safety, review basic strokes, practice upstream ferries and head down river, working on strokes and maneuvers. Camp that evening is ~5 miles from the put in.
Day 2: Today we'll cover eddy turns, peel outs and back ferries. Lots of riffles, corners, and obstacles provide plenty of opportunity to practice your new skills. Camp will be on the river with a gourmet dinner to end your day.
