From there we travel north to Sukhothai, Chiang Mai up to the Golden Triangle, visit Burma and Laos (no visas required) and then drive back along the Burmese border to see the River Kwai Bridge. Day 2: Free for sightseeing, shopping, beach and local trips. We recommend a visit to either a Million stone park crocodile farm, Sri Racha tiger zoo or Nong Nouch tropical gardens. Highlights: 90 kilometers journey over the Kao Yai mountain (national park with beautiful waterfalls and rich fauna including tigers and elephants). Accommodation with breakfast in Pak Chong. (B) Day 4: Second touring day. 470 kilometers. From Pak Chong to Sukhothai. Highlights: remains of ancient Khmer temples in Si Thep and 120 kilometers drive through forests of Tung Salung Luang mountain (national park). Accommodation with breakfast in Sukhothai. (B) Day 5: Third touring day. 280 kilometers. From Sukhothai to Chiang Mai. Highlights: World Heritage historic park of Sukhothai, the capital of first Thai kingdom in 14th century and working elephants training center in near Lampang. Accommodation with breakfast in Chiang Mai. (B) Day 6: Fourth touring day. Chiang Mai and surroundings. Highlights: Chiang Mai a medieval capital of Lanna Thai Kingdom, city of 121 Buddhist temples. Highlights: river Kwai bridge, Srinakarin lake, Erawan and Sayoke waterfalls, Krasae cave, viaducts along the river Kwai from WW2 and Buddhist temple where tigers walk free and eat from hands of monks.
