This version of our Camino de Santiago is design for independent travelers who would like to walk the last 100 km / 62 miles of the Pilgrimage trail, which is necessary to possible receive La Compostela certificate.
You will arrive at the airport of Santiago and be meet by a private chauffeur who will transfer you to the point where you will start the trail making your way back to Santiago city. This trip is ideal for those who do want to lug all their baggage every day when walk, what we have done is set up a private chauffeur who will pick up and drop off your baggage at each accommodation every evening. You have the option as well at the end of the day during the time when your chauffeur is transferring your baggage to be picked up along the way and dropped off with your luggage at your accommodation. This tour can be done at another time of the year, but without the St. James festival of course (July 25th)! Just let us know your dates and we will quote a price for you. Your Itinerary Day 1: Santiago Airport - Sarria Welcome to Galicia! Arrival to Santiago de Compostela Airport. A private Chauffeur will pick you up upon your arrival to Santiago and transfer you to a Manor House 6 km/3.73 miles from Sarria. Check into hotel anytime after 2:00 PM. Free time for lunch in Sarria. Your chauffeur will then take you to near by Samos to visit it's monastery. Free time to visit Samos on your own. Return to Manor House and dinner in the dinning room of the manor. Overnight in Sarria. Includes: (D); Day 2: Sarria - Portomarin (Total walking today: 22 km / 13.67 miles) Breakfast. For the next days you will be walking the French Way To Santiago In Galicia and in many pilgrimage villages along the way you will get your Pilgrimage passport stamped in various churches, monasteries and cathedrals. In the morning your private chauffeur will drop you off in Sarria village (6 km/3.73 mi from the Manor) where you will start walking the Camino de Santiago. You chauffeur will drop off your luggage at your next accommodation in Portomarin where it will be stored in Reception until your arrival. You walk today is around 22 km/13.67 miles from Sarria to Portomarin. Lunch on your own (along the pilgrimage way in many of the villages there are bars and small restaurant where you can have lunch). Upon arrival to Portomarin visit it's cathedral and then check into your hotel. Rest and relax before dinner. Dinner in the Hotel. Overnight in Portomarin. Includes: (B), (D); Day 3: Portomarin - Palas De Rei - Meixide (Total walking today: 29 km / miles) Breakfast. In the morning you will check out of your hotel and leave your luggage with the reception. A chauffeur will pick up the luggage later on in the day. Start walking today from Portomarin to Palas de Rei 25 km/15.53 miles then another 4 km/2.48 miles to Meixide where you will be staying in a manor house. Lunch on your own (along the pilgrimage way in many of the villages there are bars and small restaurant where you. You chauffeur will drop off your luggage at your next accommodation in Meixide where it will be stored in reception until your arrival. If you are tired by near the end of the day and wish that the chauffeur pick you up on the way dropping off your luggage all you have to do is call his cell phone and he will pick you up along the way. For example you could be picked up in Palas de Rei so you don't have to walk the 4 km to the Manor house in Meixide. Dinner in Manor house. Overnight in Meixide. Includes: (B), (D); Day 4: Meixide - Melide - Arzua (Total walking today: 25.1 km / 15.59 miles) Breakfast. In the morning you will check out of your manor house and leave your luggage with the reception. A chauffeur will pick up the luggage later on in the day. Today you will continue along the way leaving Meixide to Melide 10 km/6.21 miles and then continuing on to Arzua then land of Arzua cheeses 15.1 km/9.38 miles. Today you will continue along the way leaving Arzua to O Pino. Lunch on your own (along the pilgrimage way in many of the villages there are bars and small restaurant where you can spend time. You chauffeur will drop off your luggage at your next accommodation in O Pino where it will be stored in reception until your arrival. If you are tired by near the end of the day and wish that the chauffeur pick you up on the way dropping off your luggage all you have to do is call his cell phone and he will pick you up along the way. Dinner in the Manor House. Overnight in O Pino. Includes: (B), (D); Day 6: O Pino - Lavacolla - Monte De Gozo - Santiago (Total walking today: 15 km/9.31 miles) Breakfast. In the morning you will check out of your manor house and leave your luggage with the reception. A chauffeur will pick up the luggage later on in the morning. Today you will continue along the way leaving O Pino to Lavacolla 5 km/3.10 miles then the last stretch on to Santiago de Compostela 10 km/6.21 miles. You chauffeur will drop off your luggage at your next accommodation in Santiago where it will be stored in Reception until your arrival. Enjoy the view of the Bell Towers of the Cathedral from Monte de Gozo before your last destination. Finally arriving to Santiago De Compostela the end of the Pilgrims' way! Get your last stamp and then hand in your pilgrim passport to receive La Compostelan certificate showing that you have completed more than 100 km of the Camino de Santiago walking. Free time for Lunch on your own and to relax. In the afternoon in the lobby of your hotel you will meet a private local guide who will take you on a 3h 30min visit of the Historic quarter of Santiago and a detailed visit of the Cathedral. Dinner on your own. Tonight there will be lots of movement in the city and a 12 midnight in the Praza do Obradoiro there will be a fire works display and light show in front of the Cathedral. Today enjoy the festival of St. James day if you did not get a chance to see the Botafumeiro at mass in the Cathedral yesterday then don't miss it today! Explore the city as you please.
