This 200km circular ride begins near Kharkhorin where there now stands an extensive Buddhist monastery at the place where Genghis Khan planned his conquests. The scenery is remote and beautiful, the only inhabitants being nomadic families with their herds of horses, yaks and sheep. The landscape is quite dramatic, especially at the Orkhon waterfall which was created by volcanic activity thousands of years ago. We ride with local people who will take care of the horses and delight in showing us their customs and country. The daily riding distance is approximately 30 km. There is full vehicle support throughout the tour.
