Feel the immensity of the nature. Trek through rugged mountain sceneries, rushing rivers, lush forests and along alpine lakes. Climb mountain passes and enjoy the beautiful views. Encounter the remains of a forgotten monastery. Pass by herds of cows, yaks, horses, camels and flocks of sheep and goats. Visit some herders' families on the way, experience their hospitality and get a glimpse of the traditional way of living of remote families. Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Upon arrival at the airport you will be welcomed by your guide. He will bring you to your comfortable, centrally located hotel. In the afternoon we will visit the Gandantegchinlen Monastery. It is the largest and most important monastery of Mongolia. We will scroll through the different monasteries, observe the daily rituals of the lamas and see the magnificent statue of Migjid Janraisig, a 82-food high statue gilded in gold and covered with silk cloths. In the evening enjoy a welcome diner in a local restaurants. Overnight in the hotel. Includes: (L), (D).

Day 2: After breakfast at our hotel restaurant we will leave for Khogno Khan Mountains where we will spend our first night. Khogno Khan Mountains is an impressive massif in the open steppes. Not far from here runs the Tasarkhai Els, a 100 km long sand dune. In the afternoon we will hike in the region of Khogno Khan Mountains, walk up the mountain and enjoy the incredible view over the plains, the sand dune and grasslands. We will also visit the nice little Uvgun Monastery. Overnight in the Ger Camp. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 3: In the morning we will drive to Kharkhorin (also called Karakorin), site of the 13th century capital of the Mongolian Empire created by Chinggis Khan. In the 16th century, Mongolia's biggest Monastery was build from the ruins of Kharkhorin. Now Erdene Zuu Monastery is all that remains of what once was a huge monastery of 100 temples and about 1.000 lamas having a residency there. We will explore the grounds of Erdene Zuu Monastery. We will be guided around the 3 remaining temples: Dalai Lama, Zuu of Buddha and Lavrin Temple. We will also see the Turtle Rock and the Phallic Rock. After having visited the area we will set off further westwards in the direction of Tsetserleg. Overnight in tented Camp. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 4: Today we will get up early for our longest driving day. We will pass through Tsetserleg, capital city of Arkhangai province, and reach end of the afternoon the region of the Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake (the White Lake). Overnight in tented Camp. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Days 5 & 6: This morning we start a six-day trek. During the first two days you will go through beautiful forest and canyon. Overnight in tented Camp. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Days 7 & 8: More trekking. We will reach Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake. The White Lake is one of the most beautiful lakes of the country. It is surrounded by extinct and craterous volcanoes, and was formed by lava flows from a volcanic eruption many millennia ago. As a result of the volcano eruptions the landscape is covered with black volcanic rocks. We will also climb the Khorgo Uul Volcano (2960 meters) and walk around the lake. Overnight in tented Camp. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 9: One leisure day in the lake region. Overnight in tented Camp. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Days 10 & 11: More trekking. We will see the ancient Man-Stone. Overnight in tented Camp. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 12: Today we will visit a cave in the Darkhan Mountain. In the evening we will stop at a nomad family and experience their warm hospitality. For dinner we will be offered a typical Mongolian barbeque that will be prepared by them. Those who want will have the opportunity to try the “airag“ or fermented horse milk. Our guide - translator will help us to forge contact with the local population. Tonight we will share the gers with the family. Overnight in tented Camp. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 13: After breakfast we will cross Solongotiin pass and head for Tosontsengel where we will take our plane back to Ulaanbaatar. Overnight in the hotel. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 14: Today we will have free day to explore further the town and to shop for souvenirs. For our last evening we will have a fare well dinner at one of the city's best restaurant. Overnight in the hotel. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 15: After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your home departure.
