Your Itinerary Day 1: Belize Zoo - Chaa Creek Resort From Belize City we shuttle to Chaa Creek, a jungle eco-retreat set amidst a lush landscape. Visit the unique Belize Zoo and Tropical Education Center en route. This afternoon canoe the tranquil waters of the Macal River. (L/D). Days 2-3: Xunantunich - Macal River - Che Chem Ha Cave - Black Rock Ready for action? Mountain bike to the ancient ruins of Xunantunich and explore the Butterfly Farm and Natural History Museum at Chaa Creek before taking a swim in the Macal River. Horseback ride through jungle and pastures. Explore Che Chem Ha Cave with 2,000-year-old Mayan pottery. Then hike from the Vaca Plateau to a well-earned swim at Black Rock. (B/L/D). Days 4-5: Tikal - Jaguar Reef Transfer to Guatemala to thoroughly explore Tikal's renowned Mayan ruins. Catch the glow of sunset from atop Lost World and enjoy the toucans and parrots in the jungle below. Awaken to the sounds of howler monkeys and shuttle to Jaguar Reef with a stop at the Blue Hole for another refreshing swim. (B/L/D). Days 6-7: Belize Barrier Reef - Cockscomb Basin Enjoy snorkeling or scuba diving in the turquoise waters of the Belize Barrier Reef. Hike in the world's only jaguar reserve and finish the day with some time to just relax and unwind in your Caribbean paradise at Almond Beach. (B/L/D). Day 8: Jaguar Reef - Flights Home Our adventure concludes with a short shuttle and scenic flight from Hopkins to Belize City to connect with flights home.
