TRIP SCHEDULE: All guests should plan to arrive at our office by 8:00 a.m., unless other arrangements have been made. Your car and other belongings will remain there until your return. If you are staying at Morrison's Lodge, please call for special pick-up arrangements. In order to save time and allow us to depart for the put-in with minimum delay, please arrive dressed for the river, as described, carrying your gear. At our office you will be fitted for life jackets and wetsuits if weather requires.
Following a thorough safety and paddling orientation at our headquarters, we will then load up in vans and have a 20-minute drive to the put-in. Next, you'll meet the other guides. As our guest, you will thrill to the unspoiled landscape in a remote wilderness area of the Lower Rogue River. Each day will challenge you with ever changing whitewater, including such technical class III & IV rapids as Graves Creek Falls, Russian, Tyee, Upper and Lower Black Bar, Horseshoe, and the infamous Mule Creek Canyon and Blossom Bar. Late each afternoon you will hike up for an overnight stay at Black Bar Lodge, Marial Lodge, and Paradise Lodge. Each lodge serves family style meals as you relax and enjoy the forested beauty of the wild and scenic Rogue River. On day 3, you'll arrive at the take-out around 2 p.m. While you're enjoying a generous array of snacks, and changing into dry clothes, the equipment will be loaded into the waiting vehicles. The drive home through the Siskiyou Mountains takes about two hours. You will arrive back in Grants Pass between 5 and 6 p.m., pleased with your accomplishments but feeling a bit weary. If you would like your car shuttled to the take-out, ask for details. Notes: Deposit: $200
