Kayaks are available for guests to explore the sheltered inlets of North Cove and in settled conditions venture further afield to Bon Accord Harbour and Mansion House. If a walk is the order of the day, there are several walks on Kawau Island. From Kawau Lodge a short walk up through the bush to the ridgeline where you can enjoy a pleasant walk through Manuka forest. There are several other walks on Kawau and your hosts can assist you in the right direction. Tour Itinerary: Day 1: Friday: Your host will meet you at Sandspit and transport you across to the lodge onboard our 28' power catamaran. Depending on the time of day, lunch or a light dinner on arrival. Day 2: Saturday: Spend the day exploring the waters around Kawau Bay, enjoy lunch and a swim in one of the beautiful bays. Alternatively take a bush walk, go kayaking or just simply relax and delight in the peace and tranquility that is uniquely Kawau Island. Day 3: Sunday: Sleep-in and enjoy brunch before catching the Kawau Kat around to view the famous Mansion House before going back to Sandspit at approx. 2.00pm or alternatively your host can take you back to Sandspit later in the afternoon. Notes: - Transfers arranged from Auckand airport or Auckland city centre to Sandspit.
