It is known as Karnali National Park. It is located in the east of Karnali-river in Far West Nepal. It is undisturbed wilderness in Terai. Like in Chitwan it has Sal, Savannah and riverine forest and grassland. This park was created by resettling the people to another area. Natural vegetation in this forest is now providing sanctuary for wild life. There are tiger, rhinoceros, wild-elephant, swamp deer, black buck, gharial crocodile, marsh mugger crocodile and Gangatic dolphin. Several endangered birds have made this park their home. Park record show there is 200 species of birds, 30 different mammals, and many other animals including resident and migratory birds.
