Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: San Jose Fly into a city surrounded by soaring mountains. Arrival briefing. Day 2: Tabacon Hot Springs - San Carlos Visit the magnificent Arenal Volcano , possibly the most active volcano in the world. Enjoy a swim in the hot therapeutic waters of Tabacon Springs at the base of the volcano while you see the spectacular scenery of the volcano erupting at night. Day 3: Cano Negro Lake - San Carlos Travel North to the splendid Cano Negro Lake and Wildlife Reserve. Lake covers about 1,977 acres. Enjoy the boat trip through the Reserve and keep your eyes open for exotic wildlife such as jaguar, quetzal and the endangered squirrel monkey. Day 4: Nicaragua Lake - La Cruz Travel to the small town of La Cruz, at Los Inocentes Lodge, located in a lush tropical forest which offers many activities. Drive to see the vast inland Nicaragua Lake. Day 5: Dry Tropical Forest Journey to Guanacaste on the Northwest side of Costa Rica, you'll be able to admire one of the last dry tropical existing forest on the planet. Stop at the Santa Rosa National Park site of extensive environmental research. Arrive at Tamarindo Beach. Day 6: Tamarindo Beach Enjoy a free relaxing day at a virgin beach known for its sea turtle nesting sites and sea birds (including oystercatchers and brown pelicans).
