Gliding through the air accompanied by eagles, drift slowly over the green pine forests, over the fertile grasslands or along the huge sand dunes of the Gobi Desert. Enjoy the magnificent scenes before landing in the fence-free surrounding. Whether you live to fly you are an enthusiast without experience who wants to feel the freedom of flying, our activities will meet your wildest expectations.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Upon arrival at the airport we will be welcomed by our guide. He will bring us to our comfortable, centrally located hotel. For those who don't want to miss any flying opportunity, there will be some small flights organised around Ulaanbaatar. In the evening will have a dinner at a local restaurant. (Hotel, L, D)

Day 2: After breakfast at our hotel's restaurant we will drive 40 km eastwards. We will reach Bayanzurkh Mountain from where we will fly. Non-flyers will hike in the surrounding area. End of the afternoon we will drive to Terelj (40 km) where we will spend the night in a ger camp. Terelj is part of Gorkhi-Terelj National Park. With its granite rocks, pine trees and river it is a picturesque area that is perfect for relaxing. There are good possibilities for hiking, climbing, horseback riding or, for those who are not afraid of the cold, swimming. Non-flyers will enjoy this place. (Ger Camp, B, L, D)

Day 3: Today we will ride up the mountain by horse and fly from the Terelj Mountain. Non-flyers will visit a family or do one of the activities described here above. (Ger Camp, B, L, D)

Day 4: After breakfast we will drive 200 km westwards to reach Khustai Nuruu National Park beginning of the afternoon. In the afternoon we will fly from the Khustai Mountain range. Non-flyers will discover the park and see the wild horses. The park was established in 1993 and protects today the Takhi, the Mongolian's wild horses, also known as the Przewalski horses. (Ger Camp, B, L, D)

Day 5: Today we will drive 300 km westwards to Kharkhorin (also called Karakorum), site of the 13th century capital of the Mongolian Empire created by Chinggis Khaan. Very little is left from this legendary city. In the 16th century, Mongolia's biggest Monastery was build from the ruins of Kharkhorin. Now Erdene Zuu Monastery are the remains of what once was a huge monastery of 100 temples and about 1.000 lamas residencing there. We will fly from Salkhit Mountain. Non-flyers will explore the grounds of Erdene Zuu Monastery and be guided around the 3 remaining temples: Dalai Lama, Zuu of Buddha and Lavrin Temple. Thay will also see the Turtle Rock and the Phallic Rock. (Ger Camp, B, L, D)

Day 6: In the morning we will have some more flying in the region. After lunch we will set off for the Orkhon Water Falls. (Ger Camp, B, L, D)

Day 7: Today we will spend a whole day flying in the region. In this green, with forest covered mountainous area non-flyers will enjoy a great and active day. They will have the large choice of activities. Some will hike in the tectonic originated gorges, some will fish, swim, and others will go for a ride on a horse. We will have many chances to meet nomad families. We will visit them and experience their warm hospitality. Those who want will have the opportunity to try the "airag" or fermented horse milk. (Ger Camp, B, L, D)

Day 8: After breakfast we will drive 120km northward to Tuvshruulekh village. We will fly from Del Mountain. Non-flyers will visit that little rural village. In the evening we will drive to Tsenkher hot spring resort. Managed by Japanese this resort has a large open-air pool at its customer's disposal. The hot water of the pool flows continuously in from the hot water spring. At the spring, the temperature of the water is over 80 ° C. A complex pipelines system regulates the water temperature. Some will spend hours sitting in the pool talking to their friends or philosophising while staring at the stars or scanning the nightly nature around them. (Ger Camp, B, L, D)

Day 9: Today we will fly from the mountains surrounding Tsetserleg (60 km driving). Tsetserleg, capital city of Arkhangai province is a lovely little town surrounded by forested hills. Non-flyers we will visit the Buyandelgeruulekh Monastery, the town main functioning monastery and the nice little Museum of Arkhangai located in Zayaiin Gegeenii Monastery. From the museum they will walk hill upward to a small abandoned monastery and enjoy the beautiful view over Tsetserleg and the surrounding hills. If time is left over, non-flyers will also visit the local market. We will spend the night in a hotel or in a ger camp not far from Tsetserleg. (Hotel or ger camp, B, L, D)

Day 10: After a 200 km ride (6 hours) we will reach Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake. It is one of the most beautiful lakes of the country. The lake is surrounded by extinct and craterous volcanoes, and was formed by lava flows from a volcanic eruption many millennia ago. As a result of the volcano eruptions the landscape is covered with black volcanic rocks. End of the afternoon we will have one flight from one of the mountains surrounding the lake. Non-flyers will make a walk along the beautiful shore of the lake. (Ger camp, B, L, D)

Day 11: Today we will climb the volcano and take of from the crater of the volcano. We will be very careful while landing in this volcanic landscape. We will have more flights from surrounding mountains. Non-flyers will make an excursion through the gorges that lead from Tariat village to the volcano. Then they will climb the Khorgo Uul Volcano and admire the great view over the surrounding area. For a second night we will camp next to the lake. (Ger camp, B, L, D)

Day 12: This morning we will leave early. We will drive about 50 kilometers until Solongotiin Pass from where we will fly into Zavkhan province. After our flight we will go on driving westwards. In the evening we will set up our tented camp somewhere along the Ider River. (Tented Camp, B, L, D)

Day 13: Today we reach Zagastain, a spectacular mountain pass from where we will have a flight. Non-flyers will walk in the region and enjoy the view from the pass. In the evening we will set up our tented camp somewhere close to the pass. (Tented Camp, B, L, D)

Day 14: We will drive through Uliaster, capital city of Zavkhan province and continue until Otgontsenger valley. Otgontsenger Mountain is with its peak that rises at 4020 meters altitude the highest mountain of the Khangai range. End of the afternoon we will have a flight in the region of Otgontsenger Mountain. Non-flyers will enjoy the scenery and visit a nomad family. We will set up our tented camp in that valley close to a nomad family and experience their warm hospitality. (Tented Camp, B, L, D)

Day 15: Today we will get up early. After a good breakfast, we will load our flying equipment and pick nick on horses, and start climbing up the mountain. We will have a long way up. In the afternoon, we will have a wonderful flight over the Otgontsenger valley. In the morning, non-flyers will stay in the family and experience the nomadic lifestyle. Later in the afternoon, they will drive up to Batur Khunduk, a pretty alpine lake and hike along its shore. Having forged good contacts with the nomad family, we will be offered a typical Mongolian barbeque that will be prepared by nomads of the area. Those who want will have the opportunity to try the "airag" or fermented horse milk. We will overnight at the same spot. (Tented Camp, B, L, D)

Day 16: We will leave the area of Otgontsenger Mountain and drive westwards into the semi-arid region of western Mongolia. After a long day driving we will reach Ereen Lake. This beautiful desert lake lies at the foothill of the mighty Mongl Els Sand Dune. This huge sand dune stretches out over more than 350 kilometres from the western side of the Khangai Mountain, northwestwards in the desert region of the Great lake Depression. This scenery will be the highlight of our travel through Mongolia. We will set up our camp along the lake, in the sand of the overlooking Mongol Els. (Tented Camp, B, L, D)

Day 17: Today we will spend the day in this mythical area. Flyers will experience great flying along the sand dune. Non-flyers will enjoy the climbs in the sand dunes and will go swimming. We will camp for anther night along the lake. (Tented Camp, B, L, D)

Day 18: In the morning we will leave this great spot and drive back direction Gatchiin Pass. End of the afternoon we will have some flights from Gatchiin Mountain. Non-flyers will hike in the region. We will set up our tented camp along the Shiree River. (Tented Camp, B, L, D)

Day 19: More flights in the region of Uliaster. (Tented Camp, B, L, D)

Day 20: Drive to Uliaster and fly back to Ulaanbaatar. (Hotel, B, L, D)

Day 21: Today we will have a free day to explore the town and to shop for souvenirs. For those who still want to fly more, there will be a possibility to fly close to Ulaanbaatar. For our last evening we will have a fare well dinner at one of the city's best restaurant. (Hotel, B, D)

Day 22: After breakfast, transfer to the airport for departure.
