Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Tour starts in Sofia. Meeting at the airport followed by a short ride to the village of Govedartsi - nestled in the foot of Rila mountains along Cherni Iskar River, the village of Govedartsi is surrounded by virgin nature and unique eco system. It is a tourist base and a starting point of many trekking trials on the way to explore Rila mountains.
Day 2: On the next morning after breakfast, a ride to Rila monastery. Touring the monastery and visit the St Ivan's cave. Lunch at the monastery and ride to the town of Velingrad - one of Bulgaria's most popular spa resorts with diverse springs, excellent climate and leafy parks. 0vernight stay in a nice 3-star hotel located 4 km away from the town in a pine wood. The hotel offers an outdoor swimming pool.
Day 3: On the next day after breakfast, we take the road to Batak lake, passing through the town of Peshtera on to our final destination - Bachkovo monastery. Touring the monastery and lunch. If time allows we will visit the legendary stone chapel, some 3 km away from the monastery. In the late afternoon we'll be heading back to Sofia. Transfer to Sofia airport.
