Te Urewera National Park is the largest on the north Island of New Zealand. There are numerous walking and hiking tracks through this 250.000 ha Park. Here live the Ngati Tuhoe, 'The children of the Mist'.
Tour Itinerary: We take you on a tour from Mt. Maunganui (Port of Tauranga) along the coast of the Bay of Plenty and then into the National Park to the Whirinaki Forest, the north western part of the park. There we have a two hour guided walk with comments about fauna and flora and a picknick lunch before we are heading back towards Rotorua for a quick tour of the city and back to Mt.
