There are several bush pockets with such stunning features like the "Burial Tree", Taketakerau, at the Hukutaia Domain. This tree is a Puriri, which is about 67 feet in girth, over 70 feet high and estimated to be over 2000 years old in the Eastern Bay of Plenty.
Tour Itinerary:
We take you on a tour from Mt. Maunganui (Port of Tauranga) along the coast to Whakatane, visiting the heads at the harbour entrance, and continue along the Ohiwa Harbour and the Waiotahi Beach to Opotiki. We take a walk through the Hukutaia Domain, have lunch and head back via Waimana and the outskirts of Te Urewera National Park. We will be back at Mt. Manganui (Port of Tauranga) not later than 4:00 pm.

Airfare is not included in the tour price.

- Transport from your accommodation or the cruise ship (berthed at Port of Tauranga - Mt. Manganui) as far as Opotiki
- 1 hour guided walk through the Hukutaia Domain and transport back to the cruise ship at Mt. Manganui via Waimana
