Yoga and massage: The ancient self-help system of yoga promotes mental and physical well being and creates a balance between the mind, body and spirit. We begin each morning with an all- level Astanga series of yoga custom designed for surfing. We also offer private yoga instruction for an additional hourly fee to be scheduled within your day. If you are looking for a way to prepare yourself for surfing or for an outlet for improvement, practicing yoga a few days a week will work wonders. A one hour sports massage is included in your sol sessions package. Many women take advantage of having a personal masseuse on staff and also schedule additional massages. After a full day of hiking, biking and surfing there is nothing more relaxing then a therapeutic massage.
Cuisine: Three full home cooked meals are prepared for you each day. Breakfast is a mix of fruits, granola, yogurt and a warm entree such as my Mom’s famous breakfast bakes. Lunch is served either at the beach or house and varies from chicken Caesar salads with a side of soup or sandwiches made on fresh baked bread. After the beach, a refreshing lemonade and 4pm snack awaits you at the house. Dinner is served at 7pm, which varies, from fresh fish, to lasagna to BBQ’s and is always finished off with dessert such as warm brownies and homemade ice cream or fresh fruit sorbets. Last year the guests put in many requests for a Sol Sessions Cookbook, which is now available for attending campers. The final evening will be a traditional New England lobster cook-out on the beach. Local lobster, corn, potatoes, and tomato salad never tastes better then with your feet in the sand and a warm ocean breeze in the air. We cap off the evening with a bonfire and lots of laughs from the week past. We include all activities, equipment, professional instruction, four star accommodations in our 1880 Victorian house, meals, spa treatments and more. Learn to surf with some of the most expereinced surf coaches in the women's surf camp industry or just kick back and explore the island on our bike, hike and kayak tours. Yoga and Pilates classes are offered every day in our local studio by two of the Island favorites and focuses on balance and strength specifically for surfing. A typical day would include morning yoga, breakfast, surf instruction, lunch, hike/bike/kayak tour, afternoon snack, massages then dinner.
