What do you need? A love for nature, an adventurous spirit and an earthstomping sense of humor. Of course it would not be a bad thing to bring along a rain jacket, camera, swimming clothes, sun screen, towel, hat, warm jacket and personal toiletries.
Climate and Weather of the Garden Route: The Garden Route has a Mediterranean Maritime Climate. Summers ( November to March/April) is warm and sunny with daytime temperatures in the mid 20’s. Winters (June to end August) are mild and it is rare for temperatures to fall below 16 degrees. This is why the Garden Route is popular to visit in the winter and in the summer.
The Garden Route is one of the richest rainfall areas in South Africa, keeping the area green and lush. One can expect rainfall throughout the year in the Garden Route. The temperate weather falls between a winter and summer rainfall area so it rains mostly during the night.
