Day 1: Arrive in Geneva, transfer to Zermatt. Upon arrival in Geneva Switzerland you'll be greeted by your guides and meet the rest of your group. You will board a train from the airport that will wisk you along Lake Geneva, up the Rhone Valley and into the Alps and Zermatt. This afternoon we'll set up our bikes, review riding skills and go over safety details. Tonight we stay at our Zermatt hotel.
Day 2: Ride Zermatt - Gornergrat. Today we'll board the spectacular Gonergrat cog railway that takes us to 3100 meters (10,171 feet) with sweeping views of Monte Rosa and the Matterhorn. Then it’s an alltime ride back to Zermatt where we can grab a bite to eat before heading back up, way, way up for another ride. Tonight we stay at our Zermatt hotel.
Day 3: Ride Zermatt - Sunnegga and Rothorn Paradise. This zone is unreal, start by riding the underground funicular called Sunnegga, then the Blauherd gondola and finally the 150-person Rothorn cable car to a loafty 3103 meters. Each of these lifts boast an unreal network of singletrack descents that'll blow you mind. The descents from the top are super long…to do three in a day is a challenge! Tonight we stay at our Zermatt hotel.
Day 4: Ride Zermatt - Schwarzsee Paradise. Good morning! Today we board two lifts that will take us to the foot of the 'Horn and to 2583 meters. This is the closest that you'll come to the Matterhorn on this trip. The riding is unreal. Choose from a myriad of trails, from natural booter-infested sections to grassy slopes and forested sections. Tonight we stay at our Zermatt hotel.
Day 5: Ride Geibundepass to Brig. This morning we'll pedal down the valley from Zermatt through the towns of Tasch, St. Nicholas, Kapeltran to Stalden. There, it's up a lift to little Gspon where we climb for about 1.5 hours to a the Geibundepass and a long, sweeping descent all the way to bustling Brig. After dinner at our favoride restaurant we'll hop the train back to Zermatt. Tonight we stay at our Zermatt hotel.
Day 6: Ride Aletch Glacier. Back on Zee train we go, back to Brig. From town it's a mellow pedal to the network of lifts that will take us up to the UNESCO protected site on the edge of the Aletch Glacier, Europe's longest. The view is unreal and the riding sweet, descend back to Brig and home to Zermatt we go! Tonight we stay at our Zermatt hotel.
Day 7: Ride Zermatt. Hmmmm? Decisions, decisions? Gornergrat? Schwartzee? Rothorn? It's time to choose our favorite zone and go and session it. Yeehaw! Tonight we stay at our Zermatt hotel.
Day 8: Transfer to Geneva. This morning we pack our bikes and hop the train for Geneva. This afternoon, explore the beautiful city! Tonight, we’ll stay at a hotel in old Geneva.
Day 9: Depending on departure times, the guides will drive to the airport for the flight home.
