This safari joins the Namibia discovery for the first part of the trip and ends on Friday with a pick-up at Okaukuejo by our English speaking driver/guide.
Your Itinerary: Day 1: Oropoko Lodge. Depart at 09.00 from your Hotel in Windhoek to the Oropoko Lodge (130 km), scenically located on a hilltop in the Khomas highland range; En route in Okahandja we visit a local woodcarvers market. Arrival at Oropoko for lunch (own account). Time to relax and to explore the private nature reserve; During a game drive in the private Nature Reserve (excluded) one may come across various game species like rhino or giraffe.Overnight at Oropoko Lodge / Karibib . Day 2: Etosha-East. Drive via the Hoba Meteorite, Lake Otjikoto and the old mining town Tsumeb. Arrive in Mokuti Lodge in the late afternoon and visit their newly established Snake Park and the waterhole. Overnight at Mokuti Lodge. Day 3: Etosha National Park. A whole day of game viewing lies ahead of you. Enjoy the sight of huge herds of anti-lopes, giraffes and with a bit of luck also big game such as elephant, rhino, lion or cheetah. Overnight at Mokuti Lodge. Day 4: Etosha National Park. Drive along the vast saltpan with stops at various waterholes and game viewing en route. Overnight in one of the national rest camps, preferably Okaukuejo. Day 5: Etosha National Park. One last game drive and return to Windhoek via Otjiwarongo and Okahandja, where you have the opportunity to visit the open street market, well known for its woodcarvings.
