Without question one of the most dramatic and stunning mountain ranges on the planet, the Dolomites and their jagged spires have poetically been referred to as "God's backyard." With their awe-inspiring beauty, the Dolomites have also been the primary inspiration for some of the most legendary and historic stages of the Giro d'Italia! Such famed climbs as the Passo Pordoi, the Passo di Gardena, Tre Cime di Lavaredo, and the Passo di Giau have tested the strength and stamina of the world's fittest cyclists for decades. Now, it's your turn.

Join us this summer on a "pilgrimage" to the heart of the Dolomites as you ride the most beautiful and famed climbs in the history of the Giro d'Italia while also taking part in Italy's most beloved one-day ride, the "Maratona dles Dolomites!" Beginning at our 4-star luxury chalet in the heart of Alta Badia, each day will be spent riding the famed roads of the Strada delle Dolomiti as well as the Passo di Stelvio in the nearby Italian Alps. Then the best part of all - joining thousands of cyclist's from all over Italy on the start line of the Maratona where you can ride one of three different courses, depending on your ability and fitness level! Your dream vacation will conclude with an unforgettable "Farwell Dinner" high up in the Dolomites at a private lodge atop the Col Pradat!

In addition to the daily cycling, each cycling guest will have one massage included with their package plus laundry service every second day for their cycling clothes. For those who aren't cyclists or want to take a day off the bike, we have also organized daily guided hikes so they will also be able to enjoy all the alpine beauty of the Dolomites. With the wildflowers at their peak, this is the best time of year to go! So join us this summer in "God's backyard," the Dolomites, for a vacation for the entire family that will take you to the heights in true Italian style!

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: We will meet you at the Marco Polo International Airport in Venice in the morning with departure time scheduled for 12 noon. After welcoming everyone, we will depart for the small village of Colfosco in the heart of the Dolomites. Upon our arrival, relax with a cocktail before our "Welcome Meeting and Dinner" this evening.

Day 2: The Passo delle Erbe. Following a Tyrolean buffet breakfast, we'll enjoy a fun descent and warm-up ride through the Val di Gardenia and the Val di Badia before climbing up the Passo delle Erbe. This climb was the "Cima Pantani" in the 2005 Giro d'Italia. Afterwards, relax with a dip in the pool or unwind in the sauna. Non-Rider Activities: Guided hike through the Ladin Farmhouses in "Le Val."

Day 3: The Passo dello Stelvio. Today is your chance over the highest pass and the highest road in Italy, the famed Passo dello Stelvio! Over 25 km long and laced with 48 switchbacks, this is the ultimate ride if you love to climb! Following our arrival at the top, we will descend into Switzerland and ultimately finish in Italy! Reward yourself with a hearty alpine dinner this evening before enjoying an Italian gelato under the stars! Non-rider Activities: Guided hike through the Armentara Meadows.

Day 4: Tre Cime di Lavaredo loop. After a good night's rest and a hearty breakfast, we'll ride to the charming ski village of Cortina d'Ampezzo before ascending the mythical climb of Tre Cime di Lavaredo! This climb, the site of the finish of Stage10 of this year's Giro, has pushed the greatest riders in the world like Merckx, Gimondi, and Hampsten. Today, it's your turn! Non-rider activities: Guided excursion between Fanes National Park and Lagazuoi or enjoy the day in Cortina d'Ampezzo.

Day 4: The Sella Ronda Loop. Today's loop ride will take us over a portion of Sunday's Maratona route but in the opposite direction. We'll enjoy a true Italian lunch along the route under the shadows of the Dolomites before returning back to our hotel. Non-rider activities: Hike through the Dolomite Legends!

Day 5: Free Day. Enjoy a relaxing rest day with a visit to Corvara to visit the Maratona Exhibition or take a couple paragliding trip and see the Dolomites from a whole new angle, or just stay at the hotel and chill out and relax. It's your vacation! Tonight's dinner will get us ready for the Maratona in true Italian fashion!

Day 6: The Maratona dles Dolomites! Private Farewell Dinner atop the Col Pradat! Choose from 1 of 3 different routes depending on your ability and fitness levels! We guarantee that today will be one of the greatest rides of your life as you enjoy all the beauty, drama, and fun that is "cycling in Italy!"
