* Day 1: Charles Darwin Station
Airline: TAME (Sample flight schedule), Quito – Guayaquil - Baltra Flight 193, Quito - 9:30, Guayaquil - 10:15, Guayaquil - 11:15, Baltra (GPS) - 11:45 Arrival at Baltra´s Airport from Quito or Guayaquil. Our Naturalist guide will be waiting for you. Transfer to Santa Cruz Island by ferry across the Itabaca Channel and then by a private transport to Puerto Ayora. Arrival at the hotel with a private bathroom and hot water. In the afternoon we will visit The Charles Darwin Research Station to see the Giant Tortoises and the tortoises breeding center. Land Iguanas. Darwin Finches. Mockingbirds. * Day 2: Marine Day and Highlands Tour In the morning, enjoy a Bay Tour in a local boat called "panga". Visit Shark´s Cove where white tipped reef sharks lie and La Lobería, the resting home of sea lions. If you wish, you can snorkel with the sharks and the sea lions. Walk to Playa de Los Perros, Marine Iguanas. Two dives for divers. Lunch at a typical restaurant of Puerto Ayora. In the afternoon visit Los Gemelos, a volcanic Formation. Visit La Galapaguera, the natural place for Giant Tortoises. Visit a Lava Tunnel. * Day 3: Gardner And Champion Departure to Floreana Island in Pilotin II. Pass by Gardner and Champion Islets, where you can see from the boat frigatebirds and boobies. Snorkel with sea lions, and maybe some rays and sharks. Two dives for divers. Cruise to Puerto Velasco Ibarra, to lodge at the only Hotel on the island, owned by the legendary Wittmer Family. * Day 4: Floreana Island In the morning after breakfast we’ll take the only bus of the island to visit El Asilo de la Paz, the first human settlement where fresh water was found. Cruise in the Trimaran to Devil´s Crown, an underwater volcano, to snorkel with hundreds of reef fish where there also may be hammerheads, marine turtles, or manta rays. Two dives for divers. Lunch on board, and cruise back to Black Beach in Puerto Velasco Ibarra. In the afternoon it is a time to visit la Loberia or relax and swim in the beach. * Day 5: Isabela Island Departure to Puerto Villamil, Isabela Island. Visit by boat La Laguna de las Tintoreras, where we can see sharks, sea lions, and marine iguanas very closely. Arrival at Las Cabañas, a quaint and familiar beach lodge. We can visit the flamingo’s lagoon, take a stroll on the beach or just relax with the ocean view. Lunch in a typical place, usually fresh fish. In the afternoon we’ll visit La Galapaguera, and El Muro de las Lagrimas. * Day 6: Sierra Negra Crater Early visit to the Sierra Negra Volcano, the second largest caldera in the world. We’ll take a bus there and then we can walk to the rim of the volcano where you’ll enjoy a spectacular view. May see Galapagos hawk. Another hour walk will take us to the Volcan Chico, an amazing place for photographers. Active Sulfure Fumaroles. Pic-Nic lunch. * Day 7: Baltra Airport Early departure in speedboat to Puerto Ayora. The guide will transfer you to Baltra airport in taxi. In Baltra airport take your flight to Quito.
