Come join us for an experience of serenity and activity. Experienced guide and psychologist will travel with you to give you an experience of wilderness living that will renew and restore you. There will be daily activities to help you connect with the earth and your physical self. The route is carefully chosen to provide solitude and enhance women's experience of safety and confidence in traveling and camping together. There will be some opportunity to challenge yourself in canoeing and camping skills, as well as white water for the adventurous.
Living in the world today exposes people to experiences that dysregulate the nervous system and results in physical and psychological distress. Symptoms of anxiety, panic, chronic pain and depression can all be signs of dysregulation of the autonomic nervous system. Motor vehicle accidents, surgery, anaesthesia and assault serve to dysregulate our nervous systems. Responses such as fight, flight and freeze, when incomplete, result in a kindling of the nervous system. Kindling can show up as insomnia, panic and anxiety and tension in the body. Our bodies have the natural capacity to return to regulation, resulting in a healthier experience of life.
