Day 1: Arrival at Kathmandu Day 2: Kathmandu city Sightseeing Day 3: Kathmandu to Pokhara via Rafting Day 4: Sarangkot Sunrise, boating & short hiking Day 5: Pokhara to Chitwan Day 6: Chitwan Jungle Safari Activities Day 7: Chitwan to Kathmandu Day 8: Departure from Kathmandu Itinerary Details: Day 1: Arrival at Kathmandu • Overnight stay at Kathmandu. Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing • Sightseeing tour to Patan Durbar Square (a World Heritage site) – full of ancient palaces, temples and shrines built between the 12th and 18th Centuries • Then heads toward Boudhhatnath (a World Heritage site), the largest Tibetan Buddhist stupa, and known as Khasti Chitya. You could have lunch at roof top restaurant taking glimpse of panoramic view of stupa. • The tour continues to Pashupatinath (a World Heritage site), the most famous Hindu temple in the country, dedicating to Lord Shiva located on the banks of the holy Baghmati River. Here you see Hindu holy men (sadhus) meditating, pilgrims bathing and occasionally funeral pyres burning on the Ghats. • Then head towards Swoyambhunath, one of the most glorious and oldest Buddhist Temples in Nepal, famous for its nickname as Monkey Temple which has been registered as UNICECO heritage site. • Back to Thamel for exploring, shopping, dinner & overnight stay at Kathmandu. Day 3: Kathmandu to Pokhara via Rafting • Travel to Pokhara (Pokhara is about 200 kilometres west of Kathmandu) passing through the natural beauty of hills, rivers and local regions. • Rafting at Charaudi for 3 hours on the way to Pokhara. • Walk along the famous lakeside in Pokhara. The town is tourist's paradise full of natural and cultural heritage sites such as caves, temples of Buddhist and Hindus along with the famous Annapurna range. • Overnight stay at Pokhara. Day 4: Sarangkot Sunrise, boating & short hiking • Wake up and drive to Sarangkot for seeing the sunrise with the panorama view of the Annapurna range. • Sightseeing trip along the bank of Phewa Lake for a stunning view of the Fish Tail's Peak. Cross the lake by boating and then start our short hiking (about an hour) up to the Peace Stupa. From the top you can get the full Pokhara city glimpse and Himalayan panorama with at a peaceful setting. • Walk back down and cross the lake for lunch. • Head to David’s (water) fall, Mahendra Cave & Seti River gorge. • Free time for shopping in the evening. Dinner at the cultural dance restaurant with Nepali Folk dance. Day 5: Pokhara to Chitwan • Head to Chitwan National Park (a World Heritage site) • Check in at the hotel and lunch. Village tour and sunset view starts at 4pm, followed by cultural dance. • Back to hotel for dinner. Day 6: Chitwan Jungle Safari Activities • Chitwan Safari and elephant ride • Watch the Elephant bath at Rapti river (you can participate if you like) • Back to hotel for lunch. • Jeep safari ride after lunch. • Back to hotel for dinner. Day 7: Chitwan to Kathmandu • Boating(crocodile watching & birds watching) and elephant breading centre visit • Drive back to Kathmandu, lunch on the way. • Check in at hotel in Kathmandu at around 4pm. Day 8: Departure . Final departure for early flight customer, late departure customer has Kathmandu durbar square visit & Narayanhitti palace musuem visit (Royal Palace Musuem).
