For sheer scenic beauty, few parts of Africa can compare with the Eastern Escarpment. Just outside the town of Graskop, is the famed physical feature known as "God's Window", where the 1500 meter-high Escarpment plunges in an almost sheer drop to the Lowveld below, with Mozambique and the Kruger Park in the distance!

The Blyde River Canyon, which is the third largest canyon of its type in the world, with its rust coloured sandstone cliffs and craggy buttresses, soars over the chasm gouged by the waters of the Blyde river. Upstream on the Blyde River are the Bourke's Luck pot-holes, where stones churned by water have carved a filigree of weirdly eroded rocks.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Johannesburg - Mpumalanga. You will be collected from your hotel/flight early morning by your personal tour guide. En route to the beautiful province of Mpumalanga travel through our Highveld area, this is characterized by open fields.

Drive over the spectacular Long Toms Pass, which is the highest tarred mountain pass in South Africa. The highest point being 2307 m above sea level.

Stop at the Lone creek waterfalls and the spectacular Mac Mac Waterfalls. Lastly you will stop at Gods Window, which affords magnificent views over the Lowveld. Spending the night at one of the lovely hotels situated in the scenic town of Sabie. (Accommodation, dinner and scenic tour).

Day 2: Mpumalanga - Private Game Lodge. After a full English breakfast you will depart for the magnificent panoramic tour. Today you will visit the Blyde River Canyon, which is the third largest canyon in the world. Visit the Bourke's Luck Potholes, which is a unique geological formation formed by the convergence of two rivers where water-borne sand and stone have ground out cylindrical holes up to six meters deep in the bedrock of the river. Stopping en-route for lunch. Here you will begin the descent to the Lowveld, over the magical Escarpment.

Time permitting you will visit a Cheetah Research Center where one can view the Cheetah and King cheetah as well as wild dog and various other endangered animals close up. Arriving at the Private Game Lodge situated in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve, which is part of the greater Kruger National Park in time for the exciting evening safari.
