Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Sfo/ Beijing. Board Air China or United Airlines’ wide body 747 jetliner for Beijing. Cross the Int’l Date Line and lose a day. Day 2: Arrive Beijing. Arrive in Beijing, the capital of China, transfer to the five-star Jade Palace Hotel or similar. Day 3: Beijing. Visit Tienanmen Square, Forbidden City, the residence of emperors for more than 500 years. The Summer Palace, a summer resort for Empress Dowage Ci Xi, and Temple of Heaven where the emperors once prayed for good harvests. Includes: (AB), (L), (D). Day 4: Beijing. Full day excursion the spectacular Great Wall and the famous Ming Tombs. Return to the city in time for your Beijing Duck Banquet. Includes: (AB), (L), (D). Day 5: Beijing/ Wuhan. Fly to Wuhan at the junction of the Han and Yangtze Rivers. City tour includes the Yellow Crane Pavilion and the Provincial Museum before embark the deluxe China Regal Cruiser approved by the National Tourism Administration of China, or similar class cruiser. Includes: (AB), (L), (D). Day 6: Yangtze River Cruise. Sailing through beautiful countryside for the day. On board activities include all kinds of lectures presented by your river guides. Enjoy a welcome cocktail party hosted by the captain. Includes: (B), (L), (D). Day 7: Yangtze River Cruise. Cruising to upper Yangtze and pass through the massive 230-foot high Gezhouba Dam at Yichang. Here the ship will pass through one of the three massive locks. Continue to sail pass the first of the Three Gorges, Xiling Gorge, the longest of the Three Gorges. Our cruiser will pass through the world largest, just newly completed five-stage Three Gorges Dam Lock. After then, take a shore excursion to the world famous Dam site and the second of the Three Gorges - Wu Gorge. Ship will dock for the night after arriving at town of Wushan. Includes: (B), (L), (D). Day 8: Yangtze River Cruise. This morning we will board smaller boats for a trip up to Shennong Stream, a stunning area of dramatic hillsides, caves and lushes bamboo groves or excursion to the Daning River to the Three Small Gorges. We continue onto the last of the Three Gorges, Qutang Gorge. Includes: (B), (L), (D). Day 9: Yangtze River Cruise. Today we continue to cruise upstream to visit Wanxian for a shore excursion, which is a new residential area for immigrants, visit local market or kindergarten. Or visit the ancient city of Fengdu where we explore the local temples before returning on board for a farewell banquet. Includes: (B), (L), (D). Day 10: Chingqing/ Guilin. Our cruise concludes as we arrive in Chongqing, city tour and the Panda Zoo. Fly to Guilin and check into five-star Lijiang Waterfall Hotel or similar. Includes: (B), (L), (D). Day 11: Guilin. Spend the day boarding on a scenic Li River cruise, passing picturesque farms and fishing villages with its thousands of limestone outcroppings, Guilin has been the inspiration for generations of silk scroll painters. Includes: (AB), (L), (D). Day 12: Guilin/ Xi'an. City tour features the Reed Flute Caves and Elephant Trunk Hill. Take afternoon flight to Xi'an. Check in to downtown located four-star Hotel Royal Garden Xi’an or similar. Includes: (AB), (L), (D). Day 13: Xi'an. A full day tour recalls the glories of ancient Xi’an, as we visit the burial site of an incredible army of 8,000 lifelike Terra-Cotta soldiers; Neolithic Banpo Village; majestic wild Goose Pagoda; the ancient City Wall. Top off the day with Dumpling Dinner, followed by Tang Dynasty Culture Show! Includes: (AB), (L), (D). Day 14: Xi'an/ Shanghai. Take flight to Shanghai, transfer and check into the four-star Ambassador Hotel or similar. Includes: (AB), (L), (D). Day 15: Shabghai. Today's sightseeing introduces the major attractions of the city, which includes Nanjing Road, Yuyuan Garden, the Museum of Art and History, and the Jade Buddha Temple. Enjoy Acrobatic show at night. Includes: (AB), (L), (D). Day 16: Sha/ Suzhou/ Sha. After breakfast, early morning coach to Suzhou. Tour includes Master’s of the Nets Garden, Silk Factory & Embroidery Institute, or cruise on the famous Grand Canal. Afternoon coach back to Shanghai. Includes: (AB), (L), (D). Day 17: Shanghai/ Sfo.
