Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Sfo/ Beijing. Depart from SFO by Air China or United Airlines’ wide body jetliner to Beijing. Cross the International Date Line and lose a day. Day 2: Arrive Beijing. Arrive in Beijing, capital of China, transfer to the five-star Jade Palace Hotel or similar. Day 3: Beijing. Visit Tienanmen Square, Forbidden City, the residence of emperors for more than 500 years. The Summer Palace, a summer resort for Empress Dowage Ci Xi, and Temple of Heaven where the emperors once prayed for good harvests. Includes: (AB), (L), (D). Day 4: Beijing. Full day excursion the spectacular Great Wall and the famous Ming Tombs. Enjoy Beijing Duck Dinner in the evening. Includes: (AB), (L), (D). Day 5: Beijing/ Wuhan. Fly to Wuhan at the junction of the Han and Yangtze Rivers. Visit Yellow Crane Pavilion and the Museum before embark the deluxe China Regal Cruises approved by the National Tourism Administration of China, or similar class. Includes: (AB), (L), (D). Day 6: Yangtze River Cruise. Sailing through beautiful countryside for the day. On board activities include all kinds of lectures presented by your river guides. Enjoy a welcome cocktail party hosted by the captain. Includes: (B), (L), (D). Day 7: Yangtze River Cruise. Cruising to upper Yangtze and pass through the massive 230-foot high Gezhouba Dam at Yichang. Here the ship will pass through one of the three massive locks. Continue to sail pass the first of the Three Gorges, Xiling Gorge, the longest of the Three Gorges. Our cruiser will pass through the world largest, just newly completed five-stage Three Gorges Dam Lock. After then, take a shore excursion to the world famous Dam site and the second of the Three Gorges - Wu Gorge. Ship will dock for the night after arriving at town of Wushan. Includes: (B), (L), (D). Day 8: Yangtze River Cruise. This morning we will board smaller boats for a excursion to Shennong Stream, a stunning area of dramatic hillsides, caves and lushes bamboo groves or the Daning River to the Three Lesser Gorges. Our cruisers will then continue onto the last of the Three Gorges, Qutang Gorge. Includes: (B), (L), (D). Day 9: Yangtze River Cruise. Today we continue to cruise upstream to visit Wanxian on a shore excursion, which is a new residential area for immigrants, visit local market or kindergarten. Or visit the ancient city of Fengdu where we explore the local temples before returning on board for a farewell banquet. Includes: (B), (L), (D). Day 10: Chongqing/ Xi'an. Our cruise concludes as we arrive in Chongqing, city tour and the Panda Zoo before transfer to the airport for a short late afternoon flight to the ancient city of Xi'an if the boat arrives on time. Check into downtown located four-star Hotel Royal Garden Xi’an or similar. Includes: (B), (L), (D). Day 11: Xi'an. Today we visit the burial site of an incredible army of 8,000 lifelike terra-cotta soldiers; Neolithic Banpo Village; majestic wild Goose Pagoda. Enjoy Dumpling Dinner followed by Tang Dynasty Culture Show! Includes: (B), (L), (D). Day 12: Xi'an/ Shanghai. In the morning, city tour including ancient City Wall in Xi’an. Take afternoon flight to Shanghai, and transfer to the four-star Ambassador Hotel or similar. Includes: (AB), (L), (D). Day 13: Shanghai. Today's sightseeing introduces the major attractions of the city, which includes Nanjing Road, Yuyuan Garden, the Museum of Art and History, and the Jade Buddha Temple. Acrobatic show at night. Includes: (AB), (L), (D). Day 14: Sha/ Suzhou/ Sha. After breakfast, early morning coach to Suzhou. Tour includes Master’s of the Nets Garden, Cruising on the famous Grand Canal, Silk Factory & Embroidery Institute. Take coach back to Shanghai in the late afternoon. Includes: (AB), (L), (D).
