Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: A Zemvelo Tour guide will meet you on arrival at Johannesburg International Airport. After collecting luggage, the tour commences in an air conditioned VW Syncro 4x4. We follow the highway past farms and natural grasslands, stopping at Machadodorp for lunch. From here we head to Malelane which is flanked by sugar cane farms. Here we overnight at the River House Lodge bordering on the Crocodile River overlooking the Kruger National Park. Day 2: After an early breakfast we enter the Kruger National Park at the Malelane gate. We will enjoy a full scenic drive through the Park and do game spotting. We then head back to River House Lodge for dinner. Day 3: After breakfast we head for the Swazi border post. We will experience traditional Swazi dancing and enjoy a guided tour through their cultural village, which provide insight into the traditional ways of African tribal life.A scrumptious buffet lunch will now be served! We head back to River House Lodge to prepare for an exhilarating night game drive, with a qualified Kruger game ranger, in an off road vehicle. Day 4 & 5: We leave after breakfast entering the Kruger Park at the Malelane gate overnight at Skukuza, after breakfast we exit at Orpen gate. From here we visit the Hoedspruit Cheetah Project, breeding ground for several endangered species, for example: wild dogs, all cat species and a vulture restaurant. Lunch follows. From here we head to the Reptile Park where we watch a demonstration in the snake pit. We now head to the Graskop Hotel where we enjoy dinner and overnight. Day 6: After breakfast we travel along the Blyde River canyon,which is the largest green canyon in the world. We will be visiting Lisbon Falls, The Pinnacle, God’s Window, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and the Echo Caves and rock carvings (dating back to the iron age). We will do a quick stop over at Pilgrim’s Rest for a sundowner on our way back to Graskop Hotel. Day 7 & 8: After breakfast we will do some curio shopping and visit the silk factory and weavery where silk is produced from Mopane worms (a large caterpillar used for food by many African peoples). On route to Sabie, we visit the 56m high Mac-Mac falls. Taking the scenic route along Long Tom pass to Dullstroom, (Fly fishing mecca) where we will have a quick lunch. We will overnight at Benvonito hotel in Randburg. From here we head back to Johannesburg International Airport, we will stop at Cambanos for last minute curio shopping. Notes: Price upon request.
