Tour Itinerary:
We collect you from Cape Town or Hermanus and drive you to 'White Shark Lodge', our home base in Kleinbaai. Breakfast at our stunning Lodge. Our continental breakfast consists of yoghurt, cereals, toast and cold meats, tea and coffee. Day at sea and a lecture on board. The skipper of the day gives a short lecture on shark anatomy and behavior. He explains how we work with the sharks in the area. We spend 4 to 6 hours at sea, depending on the frequency of shark visits to the boat. Diving and viewing. Our cage takes 2 to 3 people at a time. Each person spends approximately 20 minutes in the cage. All scuba equipment, including 7mm wet suits, is provided - you don't need a scuba license to cage dive. Lunch on board. Our lunch boxes are packed with bread rolls (with a variety of fillings), sweets, crisps and assorted juices and soft drinks. Afternoon tea. Upon our return to the harbor, you are invited to tea, coffee, biscuits or scones at our Lodge. Return drive. You are driven back to where you were collected. Our boat and crew. Shark Team is an 11-meter, 4-ton catamaran with all the latest electronic and safety equipment. The boat was custom-built for shark diving, so there is plenty of space for everyone to view the sharks in comfort. Our crew consists of experienced Skippers, a qualified Paramedic, a Dive Master and friendly, helpful staff. They operate with the benefit of 15 years' experience in Great White Shark research, conservation and eco-tourism, behind them. Notes:
