From Newari culture, the high hills to the greatest mountains on planet earth, you will embark on a journey that will stay in your memory for as long as you live. Your first stop is Kathmandu, also called the "Valley of the Gods". Here you will see intricate pagodas, serene stupas, and the achievements of the Nepalese people. The stone carvings of Pashupati, the exquisite metal work of Patan Durbar Square, and the friendly smiles of the people will make your stay in the Valley rewarding.

After a tour of Kathmandu, you will embark on an easy and comfortable trek that takes you to the most amazing mountain panoramas in the world. This trek to the Everest region goes as high as 3400 meters, a comfortable altitude, yet brings you up close to the great Himalayan peaks. From the Pike La pass you will see Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho-Oyu, Khwnagde, Kusum Khang Koru and a range of other spectacular peaks. A highlight of this visit is Thupten Choling Monastery, established in 1960 by Tulshi Rimpoche of Tibet, where 450 monks and nuns reside, and meditate and offer prayers to the lords. Sacred stones, Buddhist chortens and prayer flags mark the walking route you will share with yak caravans that carry goods to and from Sherpa villages.

You will also experience the ancient Buddhist traditions practiced and may be benefit from the age-old mountain medicines made here. On the hill slopes are the Himalayan Tahr and barking deer grazing. You will walk through alpine forests covered by moss-covered trees of rhododendron, magnolia, maple and birch. You may see white, pink, and re blossoms and around 800 species of colorful Asian birds as you trek in the Everest region.
