Day 1: We depart Broome and head up Highway One, crossing the mighty Fitzroy River, before morning tea at Willare Bridge roadhouse. We then continue on to see the Prison Boab tree at the start of the Gibb River Road. We head on to the dirt and the afternoons travel takes us to Tunnel Creek and Windjana Gorge.

Day 2: We explore Windjana Gorge, with its fresh water crocodiles and enjoy the early Kimberley freshness. We then continue along "The Gibb", crossing the King Leopold Range and heading into "cattle-country". We take a walk into Bells Gorge where we can have a refreshing swim before a delicious lunch. We depart and after a scenic drive through the Boabs we end up at Galvan’s Gorge for an afternoon dip. We set up camp at either Manning Gorge or Barnett River Gorge and relax with a few drinks as the sun sets.

Day 3: After exploring the gorge and a swim, we continue East along the Gibb River Road until we veer North Up the Kalumburu Road. On our journey today we cross the Gibb River and stop in at Drysdale Station for a snack or a drink. We then continue until King Edward River where we set up camp and enjoy the sun setting over the river.

Day 4: We take the rugged winding road along the plateau and enjoy spectacular scenery as we pass through forests of Livistonia Palms. You are now in one of the most remote and most beautiful place on earth. We take time to explore this wilderness and take a walk in to the Mitchell Falls – You won’t be disappointed – It is spectacular!! On the way in we pass the breath-taking drop of the Mertens Falls and view Bradshaw paintings along the way. You may want to take up the opportunity to enjoy an optional helicopter flight over this pristine country! We end the day relaxing at the campsite with a cold drink and a hearty meal.

Day 5: Today we make our way back towards the Kalumburu Road and Drysdale Cattle Station. Along the way we will see aboriginal Wanjina paintings and more of the Bradshaw rock art. River crossings and rugged terrain continue to keep the pace slow on this leg of our journey. Lunch and a swim in the King Edward River and we head off refreshed. Tonight it’s a few drinks and a yarn at "Annie’s Bar" and an overnight camp at the station or on the banks of the Drysdale. River.

Day 6: We continue the adventure as we make our way back down to the Gibb River Road and towards the famous El Questro Station. We cross the Pentecost River and finally end up with a swim at Emma Gorge under the waterfall. A relaxing evening under the stars completes another day of this "Adventure of a Lifetime".

Day 7: After breakfast, we head into the Hot Zebedee Springs for a relaxing spa! - Relax and enjoy the scene that nature created. We then explore the El Questro Gorge, swim in the crystal clear water of the rock-pools or head to the waterfall for an exhilarating, refreshing swim. We finally leave the Gibb River Road and arrive in Kununurra before evening.

Day 8: Today is a day for relaxing or exploring Kununurra and surrounds. Canoing, fishing, swimming in the pool or perhaps an optional scenic flight. The day is yours to enjoy.

Day 9: It’s "back on the road" as we head towards the Bungle Bungles. Along the way we may cross the river at Ivanhoe Crossing or stop at the Warmun Art Centre to view art by the local indigenous artists. The track into Purnululu National Park is Four Wheel Drive Only – a slow but scenic trip as we approach the wonder of the Bungle Bungles. We set up camp and then do a bit of exploring before drinks at sunset – another day you’ll never forget!

Day 10: Echidna Chasm, Frog Hole, Mini Palms Gorge, Picanniny Creek, Cathedral Gorge are our options today – we are in the midst of The Bungle Bungles and there is plenty to see and do. You might also take the optional helicopter flight and experience the magic from the air.

Day 11: We negotiate our way back over the 4WD track to the main highway and head to Fitzroy Crossing. This part of the East Kimberley is very scenic and opportunities to take photos present themselves at many places. An optional river cruise is available to Explore Geike Gorge just out of Fitzroy Crossing. Tonight we camp at "The Lodge" after a swim in the hotel pool.

Day 12: The last leg of our journey takes us to beautiful tropical Broome where we sadly farewell our traveling friends.
