Day 1: Addis Ababa. Visit the national and ethnographic museums, trinity church. The view from mount Entoto (At 2500 m, Addis Ababa is the third highest capital in the world and Entoto is several hundred meters higher. The bigest market in Africa "Merkto". Overnight in Addis Ababa. Day 2: Addis - Bahir Dar (541 km). Have breakfast in Addis and drive to Bahir Dar to explore the city. Day 3: Bahir Dar – Gondar (200 km). Visit the Blue Nile Falls and the Islands, Monasteries on Lake Tana by Boat. Lunch in Bahir Dar and drive to Gondar. Overnight in Gondar. Day 4: Gondar - Lalibela (460 km). In the morning visit famous monasteries in and around Gondar city, and take a tour the ancient castle of Emperor Fasilidas. Have a lunch in the city of Gondar, then proceed to Lalibela. Spend the night in the middle of Gondar- Lalibela Day 5: Lalibela. Tour the rockhewn churches inside the town. Trip by muel or foot to outlying churches. Spend the night in Lalibela. Day 6: Lalibela – Mekele (550 km). Drive to Mekele. Overnight in Mekele. Day 7: Mekele - Axum (400 km). Drive to Axum (in the morning). Visit the city of Axum. Spend the night in Axum. Day 8: Axum - Gondar. In the morning, visit the Stele park, and the tombs and castles of Axumite Kings. Visit the church of mariam Tsion. Have lunch in Axum and drive to Gondar to spend the night there. Day 9: Gondar - Addis. Drive to Addis and overnight here. Day 10: Addis Ababa.
