Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: 15km (+- 8 hours). This is the hardest part of the route. Most of the day you'll spend walking uphill. But for all your effort you will be rewarded with the most beautiful scenery of sandstone features carved by wind erosion (pure ‘Jurassic Park’ atmosphere). You will be rewarded by literally hundreds of different veld flowers, sun birds, the rare cape vulture, reptiles and insects. A true paradise for close up photography. At the end of the day you can take a shower and relax next to the fire with a sundowners in hand. Day 2: 14.7 km (+- 8 hours). From here on it is easy going. Now down towards the sea. You're tour guide will inform you the whole way about interesting aspects of nature, history est. Your reward for the day is your sleeping quarters. The braai area is situated on the rocks right on the doorstep of Mother Ocean. Enjoy the awesome sunset with a cocktail and listen to the heart of nature talking to you. Day 3: 7.8 km (+- 6 hours). If you want you jawbone permanently unlocked, you must see this 7.8 km. Whales in their dozens, right under your nose. Dolphins and whales. And then the snorkeling hole a must for the rest of the day. Day 4: 10.5 km (+- 7 hours). The coast walk. A mother whale with a calve, 20 m from you, dolphins, black tobies. Only the footprints of snails and small insects tell you that there are now other visitors. Only you and mother nature. Then you wish you had read more poems to extend your vocabulary to describe this place. Beautiful, no not at the least, extra ordinary, no man. Day 5: 7 km (+- 6 hours). The End. Walking over dunes and through fynbos. You will see plant species existing only in the area nowhere on earth seen. The last day is finished in a blink of an eye. Depending on your time limit you can spend this day preparing going back home, or resting to do it all over again. Notes:
