Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive in New Zealand at Auckland International Airport. You will be met upon arrival and taken to your accommodation in Auckland City. Your afternoon is at leisure prior to joining your tour group in the morning. Day 2: This morning your coach will depart Auckland and travel North along the Twin Coast Highway to the Bay of Islands. As we travel north we will visit The Kauri Gum Museum. This houses a significant part of New Zealand’s history and you could stay here for hours. Tonight, you will stay at Hokianga and as an option may enjoy a magical night time experience with Footprints In The Sand. This will take you back to a time when Maori first arrived in New Zealand. This is not to be missed. The Hokianga is considered to be one of the oldest settlements for Maori and is still the heartland for the people. Meet the mighty Tane Mahuta, the Lord of the Forest. Day 3: This morning we travel to the Bay of Islands, and Waitangi. Here we find the Treaty House and the symbolic home of the Treaty of Waitangi which was officially signed here in 1840. Following your time at the Treaty House grounds, we travel back to Paihia for some leisure time. Following lunch, you will join our afternoon cruise to Cape Brett and the Hole in the Rock. In addition, there will be plenty of time for some Dolphin, and hopefully, Whale watching. Following the cruise you may choose to visit the township of Russell before returning to Paihia. Day 4: This morning we travel back to Auckland, via Whangarei arriving in Auckland prior to lunch. The afternoon is yours to wander the Viaduct Harbour, Auckland’s Queen Street or to take an optional activity. Final nights accommodation at Auckland Day 5: Morning free until you catch your transfer to Airport for your assigned flight. Notes: Price Includes:
