Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Pick up from the Airport in Skopje and transfer to a hotel in Skopje followed with a 3 hour sightseeing tour of the capital city that will include: Skopje Fortress, Church of St.Spas, The Holocaust Museum, The Stone Bridge, The 30 meter high Statue of Alexander the Great, The old Turkish Bazaar, The Monument House of Mother Teresa (She was born in Skopje) and a panoramic tour of the Skopje neighborhoods by vehicle. In between the tour of the capital city we will have free time for lunch and for shopping. Dinner in a typical Skopje household with authentic Macedonian homemade cuisine followed with an overnight in a hotel in Skopje.

Day 2: After Breakfast in the Hotel we will start the tour with the Beautiful Canyon of Matka (20km from Skopje) where we will have a boat ride on the Artificial Treska Lake (Vivid Nature). From there we will continue to the city of Ohrid (On the Ohrid Lake about 160km from Matka) where we will have a sightseeing tour of the city that will include: The Ohrid Samoil Fortress, The Ancient Theatre, St. Klement of Plaosnik church, St. Sophia and St. John of Kaneo Church. From there we will take a short boat ride on the Ohrid Lake to the City Center where we will have free time for lunch and for sightseeing of the Ohrid's main shopping and pedestrian walkway. Dinner and Overnight in a hotel in Ohrid.

Day 3: After Breakfast in the hotel we will continue to the Prespa Lake (Second biggest Natural lake in Macedonia after the Ohrid Lake) and the Fishermen village of Stenje (1hr and 45min from Ohrid) where we will have a short rest for toilet and refreshment drink or pancakes . From there we will continue to St.Naum (Located on the Ohrid Lake) via the National Park of Galicica. At one spot close to the Parks highest peak we will stop for a breathtaking view from where we can observe the both lakes Prespa & Ohrid. In St.Naum (Which is close to the border with Albania) we will have a boat ride on the springs of River Drim and entry in the St.Naum Monastery. After free time given for lunch in St. Naum we continue to visit the so called "Bay of the Bones"- Water Museum, which is a model of a Prehistoric Settlement. Transfer back to Ohrid for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: After Breakfast in the Hotel we will start a village Eco tour that includes the villages of Recica (Ohrid Region) where we will visit the so called "Washing Machines" a natural cleaning of carpets and other textile by using mountainous spring water and Eco detergents. From there we will continue to the village of Kuratica (5km from Recica village) where we will have a sightseeing and brief history of the village. After the sightseeing we may purchase local products such as “ajvar” (Made of red peppers), forest fruit jam, homemade wine and brandy, fresh forest mushrooms, fresh forest fruit juice and other. It is important that all of these products are organic and home made. The village of Podmocani (Prespa region) is our next stop, where we will visit the Ethnology Museum a place with Authentic Macedonian Folklore Dresses and other artifacts. At the Museum we will also have a chance to see how they make the dresses by hand as well as a collection of over 200 dresses from all over Macedonia. Next, is the village of Kurbinovo where we will stop for picnic in the nature to have lunch on the front porch of the Church St. George. Perfect view of the Prespa lake from the spot. Back to the Hotel (1hr and 45min drive) in Ohrid for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Today’s day is reserved for the famous city of Krusevo, which at ones was a Republic in 1903 acquired from the Ottomans and lasted only for 10days. At this mountainous city we will visit the Monument "Ilinden" which is dedicated to the uprising, followed with a short forest walking to the nearby small artificial lake and than we will start sightseeing the city that will include the Church of St. John with its famous wood carving, the Museum of the Krusevo Republic and several craft shops where we will be explained how they make their products (wine barrels, coffee pots, pitchers, kettles and so on). In the city we will have also a close interaction with the authentically built houses and its citizens. In the city we will have a late lunch and early dinner in one of the local restaurants with traditional Macedonian cuisine. Overnight in the city of Krusevo.

Day 6: After Breakfast we will continue to the city of Bitola (second biggest city in Macedonia, one hour drive from Ohrid) where we will visit the Archaeological Site of Heraklea Lyncaestis (Birth place of Filip the 2nd’s wife, Olympia), City Museum and free time for sightseeing the city itself. In a continuation, visit of the nearby city of Prilep (Famous for Tobacco production) where we will enter The Tobacco Museum as well as sightseeing of the Archangel & Michael Church. Free time for sightseeing the city. Dinner and overnight in the hotel in Ohrid.

Day 7: After Breakfast we will continue to the village of Vevcani (30min drive) where we will see the famous Vevcani Springs as well as their authentic style of built houses and to have a closer interaction with the locals. Next, we go to sight see the city of Struga (The second biggest city on the Ohrid Lake) where we will have a free time for shopping and a small munch. From there we will continue to the villages of Kalista and Radozda located on the Ohrid Lake by the Albanian border. In Kalista we will enter the church of St. Marry and in Radozda we will enter the Cave Church dedicated to St. George, followed with 30min sightseeing of the village. After we finish the sightseeing of the village we will seat in one of the 7 fish restaurants in the village to taste the most famous Ohrid Trout and Ohrid Eal. This will be considered a late lunch and early dinner, so after we are finished eating we go back to the city of Ohrid where we will have a one hour evening boat ride along the city shore. Unique chance to experience Ohrid by night and to relax. Overnight in the hotel in Ohrid.

Day 8: After Breakfast in the hotel we will continue to the National Park of Mavrovo located on the Mountain Bistra. On the way there we will drive by the Debar Lake and the Canyons of the River Radika (Amazing Nature). We will stop for a 30min rest for toilet and soft drink in a restaurant on the beautiful Debar lake. After that, via the city of Debar we will enter the Monastery St. John the Baptist. Our next stop is the Waterfall of “Duf” which is located in an amazing natural surrounding and is 20min walk from the place where we will leave the vehicle. From there we continue to the village of Mavrovo where we will have a panoramic tour around the Mavrovo Lake followed with a lunch. Transfer to a hotel in Skopje for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: After Breakfast we will go to visit the biggest Archaeological site in Macedonia "Stobi". From there we go to the small city of Demir Kapija (In Turkish language it means Iron Gate) where we will stop at the winery "Popova Kula" to sight see it including its wine yards and wine cellars. Next, we will have a lunch with wine sampling. Dinner and overnight in a hotel in Skopje.

Day 10: After breakfast in the Hotel transfer to the Airport in Skopje, which is 18km from the city. End of the tour.
