He operates the business with his wife Dawn from a base in the beautiful 'white village' of Gaucin in Andalucia, Southern Spain where you can stay and enjoy the real Spain. We should encounter the dainty Wallcreeper and the mighty Lammergeier in the Pyrenees, both very sought after species. The steppe near Madrid host's the Dupont's Lark, the most sought after bird in Spain and one on our list of hopefuls. In the plains we find the Sandgrouse and Bustards with a supporting cast of many raptors. Southern migration hotspots in the spring can produce many thousands of raptors at any one time and a visit to the areas around Tarifa during April can be very rewarding. Millions of shore birds and passerines also pass through on their way from the African continent to the north-western regions of the Palearctic, often stopping off in the Donana National Park. We lead regular bird-watching tours to Coto Donana especially in the Spring and Autumn. Our local destinations include Ronda, Andalucia. In Andalucia up to 20 Warblers may be seen along with, Storks, Herons, Egrets, Terns, Larks, Pipits, Swallows, Swifts, Martins, Tits and Buntings. A splash of color is added with Hoopoe, Golden Oriole, Roller, Shrikes, Serin and Kingfisher.
