Day 1: Arrive Madras. Traditional welcome at the airport by our staf. Transfer to hotel.
Day 2: Madras / Mahabalipuram (58 kms / 1 hrs)
Breakfast buffet. Visit Madras, ancient city that has become a bustling metropolis. Going through the waterfront and the Marina beach which is dominated by Fort St. George, you reach the Church of St. Thomas. The story implies that this was the apostle St Thomas Didymus who introduced Christianity in India in the 1st century. The church was built above the crypt where the evangelist based in India. Afternoon, depart by road to Mahabalipuram. Arrive and transfer to hotel. Visit the site, e the end of a vast sandy beach facing the ocean, in the light of the rising sun, stands the temple of Rivage, iconic image of Mahabalipuram.
Mahabalipuram was built of granite by Palava Rajasimha the 7th century. The Pallava founded this city on the Coromandel coast. It was from the seventh century, the radiation center of their civilization in Southeast Asia. Rock art reached a peak here in the huge relief of the ascetic Arjuna, more known as the "Descent of the Ganges." Day 3: Mahabalipuram / Pondicherry (130 Kms / 3 hrs)

Day 4: Pondicherry / Chidambaram / Gangaikondas Cholapuram / Tanjore (225 kms / 6:30 hrs)
Breakfast buffet. Departure by road to Chidambaram (68 Km), where you visit a remarkable feature of complex sacred Indian Dravidian: Nataraja temple where Shiva is revered as the god dancing. Two of gopurams are adorned with sculptures depicting the 108 positions of the Natya Sastra, the Hindu ritual dance. Then direction Gangaikondas Cholapuram where Raja Rajendra 1, a powerful Chola king, founded his new capital and the magnificent temple of Lord Shiva which is famous for its architecture and sculptures richly worked. Passing the large and impressive Nandi Dwarapalakas you see the wonderful bas-reliefs associated with the worship of Shiva, his wife Uma and son Skanda. Visit Darasuram which houses the great temple of Aravateshwaradéjeuner en route. Arrive Tanjore in the late afternoon. Installation at the hotel. Overnight.
Day 5: Tanjore - Trichy - Tanjore
Breakfast Visit Tanjore, the ancient capital of the Chola city of the ancient temple Brideshwara, one of the finest masterpieces of Dravidian architecture. Amazing for its refined architectural detail. It is the flagship of I'architecture chola as its pretty gopurams, double wall, monolithic dome surprising that its frescoes that adorn his court intérieure.Puis the Saraswati Mahal dating from the seventeenth century where you will see a superb collection of bronzes cholas. Afternoon, excursion to Trichy (56 km) and visit Srirangam, grandiose city located on an island in the river Kaverey; the Ranganath Swami Temple with its 21 gopurams is extraordinary, it is dedicated to Vishnu.
Continue visit with a walk in the China Town Market located at the foot of the Rock Hill Fort. Back to Thanjavur in the evening performance of Bharatnatyam Bharatnatayam: One of 8 traditional dances of India, Bharatnatyam is one of the most significant and most perfect. Once the dance was performed only in temples by the "Devadasi", (attached to the temple dancer, spent their childhood in God, and regarded as wives). The Devadasi temples have gone and made a profession. Overnight.
Day 6: Tanjore / Madurai (195 Kms / 4 hrs)
Breakfast buffet. Depart by road to Madurai, the Holy City of India Sud. Installation at the hotel. Afternoon you will visit the Meenakshi temple - built in the 17th century. The iconography makes great use of the lotus is in the Indian symbolism, the representation of female and at the same time an emblem of joy and stay Dieux. Visite of Tirumalai Nayak Palace - showing the influence of art Mughal art on traditional Hindu. This is the beginning of the Indo-Sarcenas style or Moorish Indo. Day 7: Madurai / Periyar (160 Kms / 4 hrs)
Breakfast buffet. Departure by road through the typical landscape of Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Continue to Lake Periyar running through the plantation and leads into the foothills of the Nilgiri hills, blue mountains in Tekkedy. You are in the wildlife reserve of Periyar.Installation at the hotel. Afternoon, visit the Periyar National Park was created around an artificial lake and is one of the most beautiful nature reserves in the south of 'India, particularly known for its elephants, deer, bison, sambar and monkeys. Cruise the lake to admire the birds and animals around the lake where elephants come to drink. Back in town and free time in the market. Overnight.
Day 8: Periyar / Kottayam - Alleppey (the Backwater Cruise) / Cochin
Breakfast buffet. Boarding and surfing the "back waters" within the land along the shores shaded by coconut trees. You will come across boats that will remind the Chinese sampans. Throughout these waterways you will unfold the various activities of the day farmers of Kerala. Disembark at Alleppey and continued by road to Cochin, "the Queen of the Sea of Oman, the largest natural port of India! The name refers to a set of islands and cities. Here the first "settlers" Europeans settled in India in 1500, led by Vasco da Gama who died with the title of Viceroy of Portuguese India. His grave is but the body was actually brought to Lisbon. By tradition, the Apostle Thomas preached the gospel there. It is also one of the most important trading ports of Kerala Installation at the hotel. Free time. In the evening visit to a Kathakali dance school, where you can watch the preparation of masks, makeup artists and performance of Kathakali, the dance theater of Kérala. Overnight.
Day 9: Cochin
Breakfast buffet. Visit the old Cochin with the church of St. Francis. It is the oldest European church in the country. The church was built in 1503 by Portuguese Franciscan friars who accompanied the expedition led by Pedro Alvarez Cabral. The original wooden church was rebuilt in stone in the mid-sixteenth century. In the palace Holland, you will find some of the finest paintings from India. Upstairs, the room contains the coronation objects that belonged to the ruler of Cochin, Raja Veera Kerala Varma (1537-1561). Synagogue dating from 1568 is the oldest Commonwealth. Overnight.
Day 10: Cochin / Kovalam (225 Kms / 5 hrs). Breakfast. Departure by road to Kovalam. Arrival and transfer to hotel. Free afternoon at the seaside or Ayurveda. Overnight.
Day 11: Kovalam. Breakfast. Free day at the seaside or the possibility of Ayurveda. Overnight.
Day 12: Departure Kovalam. Breakfast. Transfer to international airport. Assisting boarding formalities by our representative. Return trip.
