Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Maroua and drive to Rhumasiki while visiting the Matakam Kirdi tribes on the way with their huts of conically shaped thatched roofs. Night at Rhumsiki camp. Day 2: Visit of Rhumsiki village – The crab witchdoctor to predict your future; the weavers to show traditional weaving skills and the potters to demonstrate how African pottery is made; drive to Maroua via Koza pars to visit the Djingliya arts and craft center. Visit of chiefs palace of Oudjulla with 47 wives and the labyrinth of the traditional palace to see the village shrine, the women quarters and the panoramic view of the countryside. Night at Maroua. Day 3: Game drive in Waza Park to view giraffes, elephants, antelopes, lions and myriads of birds. Night Waza camp. Day 4: Early morning drive to lake Tchad. Along the way mixing with Borno, Shiuva Arabo and Kotoko tribes and a first hand appraisal of their traditional life style. Canoe ride from blangoua to lake Tchad and to the island of Kofia to view fishermen from Niger Republic, Nigeria, Tchad and Cameroon living harmoniously together. Return to Waza for overnight.
