Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive Tirana. Arrival at Tirana. Airport transfer to Tirana – o/n in Hotel City, dinner at one of the local restaurants. Overnight in Hotel. Includes: (D). Day 2: Tirana - Kruje - Tirana. After breakfast, visit the National Historical Museum, and the Mosque of Et’hem Pasha 10.30am drive to Kruja, which rises 560 metres above sea level, visit the old Castle, he Museum of Skanderbeg, houses within the medieval castle where you will learn about the history of Albania's national hero who led the 15th century struggle against the Ottoman Empire, Ethnographic Museum, and Turkish time Bazaar, Returning to Tirana. Overnight in City Hotel. Dinner at one of local restaurant. Includes: (B), (D). Day 3: Tirana - Durres. After breakfast we have a morning sightseeing tour of Tirana, the capital of Albania and enjoy a beautiful setting between the ranges of Dajti Mountains from one side and the coastal plains on the other side. We will see Skanderbeg Square, departure for Durresi- Durresi is second important City in Albania visit: Amphitheatre and Archaeological Museum, and sightseeing the Town. Overnight in Hotel. Includes: (B), (D). Day 4: Durres - Berat. After breakfast Drive to Berati (Unesco World Heritage}. A 2400 years old City, afternoon – visit the Ethnographic Museum, Bachelors Mosque, the King’s Mosque, the Leaden Mosque and the Tekke of the Helveti. Overnight in the Hotel ‘Tomori. Includes: (B), (D). Day 5: Berat - Vlora - Saranda. Visit the Citadel, built on the top of a rocky hill, and the ruins of about 20 churches, visit the Cathedra of St. Nicholas (Onufri Museum) and the Church of St Mary of Vllahernat (13C}, which has 16 century mural paintings by Onufri the Albanian most famous Medival painter and his son Nicola. Drive to Vlora along mountain road of Albanian Riviera enjoying the beautiful and fantastic scenery and landscapes of Ionian Coastline and Llogara Pass (3500 feet above the Sea level). En-route visit the Ali Pasha Fortress in Porto Palermo bay. Proceed Saranda. Overnight in hotel Agimi. Includes: (B), (D). Day 6: Saranda - Butrinti. After breakfast drive to Brutrinti to visit the archaeological site, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List, since it bears witness to the continuous inhabitancies since prehistoric times. Butrinti has been a Roman city and a bishopric, and enjoyed the prosperity under Byzantine administration. It was briefly under Venetian rule and then abandoned in the late Middle Ages after marshes formed in the area. The present archaeological site is a repository of ruins representing each period in the city's development. We will visit the temple of Aesculapius, the Baptistery and the Nympheum, after visit the Village of Ksamil with beautiful small beaches, back in Saranda. Overnight in Hotel Agimi. Includes: (B), (D). Day 7: Saranda - Gjirokastra - Tirana. After breakfast we will visit the "Blue eye" springs- continue to Gjirokaster, the 'Stone City', situated on the eastern slope of the mountain Mali I Gjere and is also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, due to its architectural peculiarities. The city dates probably from the 4th century and passed to the Turks in the 15th century. What strikes visitors the most are the typical and characteristic houses which resemble little fortresses, clustered one above the other. During our sightseeing tour of Gjirocaster we will visit the weapon museum and the fortress and Ethnographic Museum. Later we will proceed to Tirana. Overnight in City Hotel. Includes: (B), (D). Day 8: Departure. After breakfast, visit the Dajti Mount over 1200m above the sea, with modern Cable Car, optional lunch, Transfer to Mother Teresa Airport. Includes: (B). Notes: Price Includes:
