Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive Mfuwe International Airport and transfer down to Croc Valley Boutique Camp nestled in an Ebony Groove on the banks of the Majestic Luangwa River and stay in one of our Rustic but yet crudely elegant Chalets on stilts or in a luxury on suite tents on the banks of the river. Day 2: Wake up early to an Africa Brew of Arabica coffee, toast and cereal to see you through until you return four hours later to a scrumptious Brunch after exploring the South Luangwa National Park ”Valley of the Elephants”. A relaxing rest of the day around the camp cooling off in the Pool or sipping cocktails at the bar. The afternoon Night drive leaves at 4 pm encapsulating the essence of adventure on an Africa Safari at night reveling all of Africa hidden secrets. After supper and a night cap or two its off to bed listening to the sounds of Africa to lament you to sleep. Day 3: Another early rise but this time under the watch full eye of our experienced guide Fred and one of the Parks Department skilled scout you embark on an age old tradition, Walking Safari. From Hemingway to Roosevelt all having experienced Africa on foot. After brunch a trip to either Tribal Textiles a local factory producing fabric from local material, or Kawasa Village to experience the local way of life or Chipembele animal Orphanage and School to learn some of the history of the valley Then that evening a chance to say good-bye to all those friends in the Mfuwe area who’s names by now you have learnt and will remember for the rest of your life like Mkangu or Chui. Day 4: Transfer up to the Northern part of the South Luangwa Park to the simple rustic but very comfortable Chikoko or Crocodile camp. Here you will experience the Bush Camp Experience where there are no vehicles just walking like the earlier explorers would have done. Days 5-6: Bush Camp activities absorbing the raw beauty of Africa listening to the fish eagle calling. Day 7: An all day drive through the Nsefu Sector of the South Luangwa National Park Home of the Cooksons Wildebeest endemic to the South Luangwa Valley. After a scrumptious Bush Lunch it's a short drive home culminating with a Riverside Barbecue on the banks of the Luangwa under the stars Day Eight. A short transfer to the airport and then that trip home remembering all that you have just learnt on the trip of a life time. Notes: - A minimum deposit of 50% is required to confirm reservations.
