The diversity of Madagascar’s fauna and flora in the middle of lush vegetation such as the orchids of Saint Marie Island and the Aye Aye of Nosy Mangabe, we are invited to discover these during the 15 days and 14 nights stay. This diversity makes this eastern a tropical destination region.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Country of departure - Antananarivo. Welcome at IVATO international airport then transfer to the hotel. Briefing of the tour. In the afternoon, glimpse of the city of Antananarivo, to discover its old architectures from the top end of the town, the administrative buildings, the different flower markets. Welcome dinner at "Tranovola" Restaurant. Night in a guest house.

Day 2: Antananarivo – Andasibe (150 km). After breakfast, departure to Andasibe driving on the National Road N2. Visit of an exotic farm where reptiles, batrachians and mammals mingle are found. Then moving on to Andasibe going past the town of Moramanga. Arrival in Andasibe, check in Hotel Feon’Ny Ala. Late in the evening, going for a night walk along the way to discover the nocturnal animals living there. Dinner and night in the Hotel.

Day 3: Andasibe. After breakfast, departure to Analamazaotra special reserve. This day will be spent for meeting Malagasy fauna and flora. The Indri Indris, the largest lemur on earth are in their natural environment. In the afternoon, an excursion in a private reserve. Dinner and night in the Hotel.

Day 4: Andasibe – Manambato - Ankanin'ny Nofy (256 km). In the morning, driving on the National road N°2 and transfer to Manambato, the jetty lake with a motorboat to Ankanin’ny Nofy. Crossing of Rasoa Be Lake and following the Pangalanes channel until "the house in the country". Dinner and night in the Hotel.

Day 5: Akanin'ny Nofy. In the morning, visit of a private reserve, "le Palmarium" which has a variety of endemic plants and animals from the south of Madagascar. Afternoon off along the edge of the channel, swimming or a visit of the surrounding villages. Dinner and night in the Hotel.

Day 6: Akanin'ny Nofy – Toamasina (by boat). In the morning, departure to Toamasina going along the Pangalanes channel. Tamatave or Toamasina has rickshaws and wide palm tree lined up on the edge of the avenue. It is Madagascar’s first commercial harbour. Its two markets, the bazar be and the bazar kely truly serve as "bazars" for the local population, selling everything from exotic fruits to furniture’s. In the evening, kebabs and coconut sellers liven up the seaside. Dinner and night in the Hotel.

Day 7: Toamasina - Soanierana Ivongo - Sainte Marie (165 km). At about 6 o’clock in the morning, transfer from the car station to Sainte Marie via Soanierana Ivongo. Arrival in Soanierana Ivongo at about 9:30 am then riding on a motorboat to Sainte Marie. The crossing lasts about one hour. Arrival in Sainte Marie at about 11:30 am then transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, you will be able to cross by dugout canoe to get to the island of Nattes. Dinner and night in the Hotel.

Days 8-9: Saint Marie. Day off in Saint Marie. You can rent motorcycles or bikes for a ride to Ambodifotatra. You can also go and watch the whales with our service supplier "Il Balenottero". The island of Nattes, which is not far from the hotel, is an ideal place for a day of excursion. Dinner and night in the Hotel.

Day 10: Saint Marie – Maroantsetra (Plane). Transfer from Saint Marie airport and fly to Maroantsetra. Transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is off to visit sailboats market and workshops. Dinner and night in the Hotel.

Day 11: Maroantsetra - Tampolo (by boat). At about one hour ride by boat from Maroantsetra, the magnificent beach of Tampolo opens to tourists. This place is remarkable for many reasons. In one hand, it is among Madagascar’s rare submarine reserves; in the other hand, this place has wonderful coastal forests, peculiar to the coast and the good spirits which are several to protect the surrounding islets. Diving materials should be ready to discover the beauty of corals. Dinner and night in the Hotel.

Day 12: Tampolo. In the morning, passing through Masoala forest to reach the fishers village where there are about 200 inhabitants living in small huts essentially made of vegetal materials locally called ‘falafa huts’ shaded by coconut trees. The rest of the day is off. Dinner and night in a lodge.

Day 13: Tampolo - Nosy Mangabe - Maroantsetra (by boat). In the morning after breakfast, departure to Nosy Mangabe island which is located in the heart of the Antongil Bay. Within 500 Ha area surfaces, the island is totally covered with humid tropical forest. Aye Aye, night lemurs find refuge there. Excursion in the island and transfer to Maroantsetra. Dinner and night in the Hotel.

Day 14: Maroantsetra - Antananarivo (Plane). Transfer to Maroantsetra airport then fly to Antananarivo. Transfer to a Guesthouse. Dinner and night in a guest house.

Day 15: Aantananarivo - Country of destination. After breakfast, departure to Ambohimanga, the cradle of the Merina monarchy. Then in the afternoon, if we still have more time, we will go shopping at the craft market. Transfer to the airport.
