At the heart of Karakoram, the glacial junction known as Concordia is dominated by huge peaks. K2 as seen from Concordia: Just 7 miles from the precipitous south face of K2 (28245 ft) and nearer still to Broad peak (26395 ft) and the G IV (25995 ft), this is unquestionable one of the most spectacular camping places on earth. Following generally good trails, our eight day walk into this remote area leads from the village of Askole through a veritable wilderness of rugged valleys and towering peaks. The scenery daily becomes more impressive as we trace a route across the moraines of the vast Baltoro Glacier, overshadowed by the sheer granite walls of the Trango towers to our left and the shapely summit of Masherbrum (25650 ft) to the right. Including the optional excursion from Concordia up to K2 base camp, this ultra - classic trek is well within the capabilities of the avid hiker.

Day 3: Islamabad to Chilas overnight hotel.
Day 4: Chilas to Skardu overnight hotel.
Day 5: Rest Skardu overnight hotel.
Day 6: Skardu to Askole via jeep overnight camp.
Day 7: Trek Askole to Jola overnight camp.
Day 8: Jola to Piyo overnight hotel.
Day 9: Rest in Piyo.
Day 10: Piyo to Urdakus overnight camp.
Day 11: Urdukas to Gorotwo overnight camp.
Day 12: Goorotwo to Concordia overnight hotel.
Day 13: Concordia to K2 base camp overnight camp.
Day 14: Back to Concordia overnight camp.
Day 15: Concordia to Ali camp overnight camp.
Day 16: Ali camp to Chuspung via Gandagoro la overnight camp.
Day 17: Chuspung to Gandagoro overnight camp.
Day 18: Gandagoro to Seacho overnight camp.
Day 19: Seacho to Hushe overnight camp.
Day 20: Hushe to Skardu via jeep overnight hotel.
Day 21: Skardu to Chilas.
Day 22: Chilas to Islamabad.
Day 23: Debriefing at ministry of tourism and fly to destination.
