Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Well come to Azerbaijan.

Arrival to Baku airport, our representative will assist you through passport control formalities, luggage identification and portage will greet you. From the airport you will be transferred by a private A/C car to your hotel and overnight in Cairo.

Day 2: Sightseeing tours throughout Gobustan and old town.

Breakfast. Start your full day visiting the Rock Art Cultural Landscape “Gobustan” on open-air. Collection of rock drawings and finding of the ancient person in neolith period in the world. Over 6,000 rock engravings dating back between 5,000 - 40,000 years are presented, including an exhibit dedicated inhabited caves, settlements and burials, all reflecting an intensive human use by the inhabitants of the area during the wet period that followed the last Ice Age, from the Upper Paleolithic to the Middle Ages.

Then visit a series of mud volcanos in Gobustan. Azerbaijan and its Caspian coastline are home to nearly 400 mud volcanoes, more than half the total throughout the world. Every twenty years or so, a mud volcano may explode with great force in Gobustan, shooting flames hundreds of metres into the sky, and depositing tonnes of mud on the surrounding area. The appearance of the Zoroastrian religion in Azerbaijan almost 2,000 years ago is closely connected with these geological phenomena, and Azerbaijan's etymology - Land of the Eternal Fire derives from its Zoroastrian history. There is also this musical gemstone known as Gaval Dash.

It makes a tambourine-like sound when it is hit in different points. Among the stone books there are a big flat stone formed out of 3 supports. Suffice it to touch the object with a small stone, musical sounds come from it. Lunch time (restaurant "Caravanserai" with dishes of the Azerbaijan national cuisine will wait for you). Then visit a medieval part of city “Icheri Sheher” (Internal City): fortifications, the main gate of “Gosha Gala Gapi”, Shirvanshakh Palace, a tower temple “Giz Galasi”/“The Maiden Tower”, medieval baths, karvansarai, workshops of handicraftsmen, carpet and antique shops, the Museum of Carpet-Making and Folk Crafts. At the end of the day we will transfer to the hotel.

Day 3: Baku - Absheron peninsula.

Auto-excursion departure to natural and historical-architectural monuments of Absheron peninsula. A place of an output of natural combustible gases on mountain Yanardag in Mamedly settlement. The appearance of the Zoroastrian religion in Azerbaijan almost 2,000 years ago is closely connected with these geological phenomena, and Azerbaijan's etymology - Land of the Eternal Fire derives from its Zoroastrian history.
- The medieval castle, a mosque and khan summer residence.
- Old petrocrafts on a land and a medieval tower temple-castle.
- Two-minaret operating mosque.
- Fire Worshippers temple “Ateshgeh”.
- Tower temples
- Rock paintings on site of ancient Kelezekh settlement in Dubendi beach.
The Lunch at restaurant with fish dishes and kebabs then transfer to the hotel.

Day 4: Baku - Shamakhi - Sheki.

Depart for the Caucasus Mountains in the northwest of Azerbaijan. The dry landscape around Baku gives way to a densly forested mountain area. Visit the town of Shemakha, once the capital of Shirvan and the charming village of Lahij, the centre of Azerbaijan handicrafts, before arriving at the historic town of Sheki. Overnight with dinner at an atmospheric converted caravanserai.

Day 5: Sheki - Kish - Baku.

Visit the Royal Summer Palace of the Sheki Khans with its magnificent frescoes and stained glass as well as Sheki Museum and Fortress. In the afternoon drive into the countryside to the village of Kish with the oldest church in the Caucasus dating from the first century and enjoy walks in the surrounding Caucasus foothills.

Day 6: Baku - Nakhchivan.

Travel to Azerbaijan's isolated enclave Nakhchivan, the Azeri enclave wedged between Armenia and Iran. Known as the land of Noah, it shares no land border with Azerbaijan and the only access is by airplane. Transfer to your hotel. Sightseeing in Nakhchivan city to XII century Momina Khatun Monument, Yusif Ibn Kuseyir Tomb, Carpet Museum - formerly Khan's House and etc. Travel to Garabaghlar village of Sharur region see XII century monument. Visit to Asabu Kahf cave - 12 from Nakhchivan city.

Day 7: Nakhchivan - Baku.

Visit Ordubad and Julfa regions of Nakhchivan to see old monuments and magnificent nature. Travel to natural reserve Batabat in Shahbuz region. Travel back to Nakhchivan city and transfer to airport to fly back to Baku.

Day 8: Breakfast at the hotel our representative will transfer you to the airport and assist you at the airport through final departure formalities.
