Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival Sai Gon. On arrival at Tan San Nhat Airport, you will be met and transferred to hotel. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.

Day 2: Sai Gon city tour. Ho Chi Minh City is a center of commerce, finance, culture and tourism in Vietnam. A full day city tour of dynamic Ho Chi Minh City, still called Saigon by many locals, includes the Notre Dame Cathedral, Old Sai Gon Post Office, the Chinatown, the former Presidential Palace, the oldest pagoda of Giac Lam, the War Museum, Ben Thanh Market, a lacquer-ware factory, the interesting History Museum. Overnight in Sai Gon. Includes: (B, L).

Day 3: Sai Gon - Cu Chi - Tay Ninh Temple. At 8:00, pick up you at your hotel in Sai Gon. Transfer about 30 km north-west of Ho Chi Minh City to Cu Chi town. Cu Chi tunnels were used as the base from which the Vietnamese mounted their operations of the Tet Offensive in 1968. The Cu Chi Tunnels consist of more than 200 km of underground tunnels.

This main axis system has many branches connecting to underground hideouts, shelters, and entrances to other tunnels, the tunnels are between 0.5 to 1m wide, just enough for a person to crawl along. Depart for Tay Ninh, the head quarter of Cao Dai region. On arrival we attend the fantastic mid-day mass when the followers fill the hall wear colored robes, a symbol of the curious combination of the Confucianism, Taoism, Christianity and Buddhism. Overnight in Sai Gon.

Day 4: Sai gon - Cai Be-Tra on – biking boat cruise. 8:00 Pick up you at your hotel in Sai Gon and transfer to our Mekong cruise. 11:30-12:00 boarding Le Cochinchine boat. Enjoy welcome drink. Transfer to a local boat for an extensive visit of Cai Be: the floating market, the mazes of waterway, local pop-rice and sweets production. Visit of colonial buildings, old houses, delightful flower gardens and local coconut candy and rice paper manufacturers. Includes: (B, L, D).

Le Cochinchine continues its cruise to Cochien. Lunch served on board. Embark on a pleasant walk or cycle on the footpaths of the countryside to discover tropical fruit orchards and the local people's activities. Visit a cottage industry, a local farm and sample seasonal fruits. Leisurely cruise on the Mekong River while taking in the beautiful scenery. Enjoy an aperitif over the sunset. Dinner and night on board.

Day 5: Tra On - Can Tho - Sai Gon. Breakfast on board. The morning bobbling commotion of Mekong river life comes to life for another lovely day our boat set sails to Cantho through tributary and canals. Transfer to Cairang: one of the most bustling floating markets in Mekong. We go for a walk along the canals and the palm-shaded creek to see local houses and green orchards, ship building yards, rural and water activities in full swing. Boarding back at noon, with a welcome-back drink. 11:00 Disembark in Cantho. The cruise concludes. Transfer back to your hotel in Sai Gon.

Day 6: Sai Gon - Da Nang - Hoi an. Leisure time until transfer to airport for flight to Da Nang. Visit the Cham Museum containing the finest collection of Cham sculpture in the world. Hoi An at leisure. Overnight in Hoi An. Includes: (B).

Day 7: Hoian - Sanctuary Myson. Transfer to visit Myson that is one of the most stunning sights in Hoi An area, and a UNESCO World Heritage recognized Site. During the century when Tra Kieu (then known as Simhapura) served as the political capital of Champa, My Son was the site of the most important Cham intellectual and religious centre, and also may served as a burial place for Cham monarchs. My Son is considered to be Cham’s counterpart to the grand cities of South-East Asia’s other Indian influenced civilizations: Angkor( Cambodia), Bagan (Myanmar) Ayuthaya (Thailand) and Borobudur (Java). At leisure to visit Hoi an and shopping. Overnight in Hoi an. Includes: (B).

Day 8: Hoi an - Da Nang - Hue. After breakfast, transfer to Hue via Lang Co beach, Hai van pass and Marble Mountains. Afternoon Visit Thien Mu pagoda, considered by many as the unofficial symbol of Hue. It is active Buddhist monastery with its origins dating back to 1601. One of its most poignant displays is a car belonging to a former monk, who in 1963, drove to Saigon and set himself alight to protest against the South Vietnamese regime and its cruel treating of Buddhist. From here we embark on a lovely boat cruise on Perfume river to visit Minh Mang tomb, in a tranquil setting of gardens and lakes. Visit to vibrant Dong Ba riverside market fo. At leisure. Overnight at your hotel in Hue.

Day 9: Hue - Hanoi. 8:00 a.m. pick up from your hotel in Hue. Visit the Citdel, containing the Imperial City and the Forbidden Purple city, the Emperor's private residence. Both were almost totally destroyed during the Tet offensive of 1968. Visit Tuduc Royal tomb followed by HoQuyen Coloseum where the tigers were pit against elephant for royal entertainment. Transfer to airport for flight to Hanoi: VN 244 13:00 14:10. Transfer to your hotel in Hanoi. At leisure. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 10: Hanoi city tour - night train to Sapa. 8:00 a.m.: need car: you will have full-day tour of Ha Noi. You will visit the house on-stilts of Ho Chi Minh (this is where our uncle Ho spent the rest of his life) and the One Pillar Pagoda and the Litterature temple, the Museum of Ethnology. PM: walking and cyclo. After lunch, pay visit to the Hoan Kiem lake with its Ngoc Son Temple. Continue to visit the Old Quarter of Ha Noi by cyclo. Enjoy a kind of traditional Vietnamese stage-art: puppet show. And transfer to train station for night train to Sapa. Overnight on train. Includes: (B, L).

Day 11: Sapa tribal village. The train arrives at the Lao Cai train station at approximately 06:00. There will be a vehicle waiting to transfer us to Sapa. The drive to Sapa is only 33 km but it takes around 1.5 hours to make our way up the mountains. Once at Sapa, we will check into hotel, we have a freshen up and breakfast at the hotel. At 10am from the hotel there will be a walking tour to the hill tribe villages of Cat Cat, and Sinchai villages home to the Hmong hill tribes minority peoples. As we walk to the villages nestled in the valley below Sapa, we will meet some of the local minority people on their way to and from Sapa. Here we have the opportunity to share cultural experiences with the families that live in the area. Return to Sapa in the afternoon. Overnight in Sapa. Includes: (B, L).

Day 12: Sapa tribal village - night train to Hanoi. Following breakfast at the hotel we embark on a lovely walk that will take us along small paths and trails and through several hill tribe villages of Lao Chai and Tavan, home to H'mong, and Dzay people. This is a absolutely spectacular walk through stunning scenery inhabited by some of the friendliest people you can meet. Stopping for a picnic lunch on the way at a family in Ta Van village. We continue onto Red Dzao villages and meet with local people and sample their culture. Transfer back to train station for night train to Hanoi. Overnight on train. Includes: (B, L).

Day 13: Hanoi- Ha Long Bay. You will arrive Ha Noi at about 6:00 a.m. After breakfast, you will be transferred to Halong Bay, which will take about 3 hours. Arrive Halong bay you will board to cruise around Halong bay and soak in the misty atmosphere of this world heritage site. Halong bay is a breathtaking secluded bay with over 3,000 limestone islands rising from the clear emerald waters of the Bac Bo gulf.

It is one of the most magnificent scenic regions in Vietnam and has been referred to as the 8th Wonder of the World. The area of about 1500sq km is dotted with innumerable beaches and grottoes, created over thousands of year by the waves and wind. You will have the opportunity to swim from your boat and explore some caves. You will enjoy a seafood feast for lunch on board. We will continue our excursion around this stunning bay until the sun comes down. Overnight on boat. Includes: (B, L).

Day 14: Ha Long Bay - Hanoi (Brunch). We have a whole morning on boat exploring the amazing limestone backdrops. Diver back to Ha Noi. Overnight in Ha Noi. Includes: (B, L, D).

Day 15: Hanoi. Departure. Leisure day until your departure flight. End of the trip. Includes: (B).
