This programme will give you a good insight in the world of Rembrandt. We will walk where he walked, see houses and places he must have seen. Viewing images he made of some of these locations.
You'll also get plenty of stories and information on daily life in his 17th century.
So this is much more than an art tour. It is a deep dive into history, focussed on life and work of Rembrandt.
Leiden, the town where Rembrandt was born in 1606, in a miller's family.
Inside the 17th century ramparts, large parts of the old centre are surprisingly intact. Rembrandt would have no trouble at all finding his way around today.
Amsterdam was the place to be for young ambitious artists like Rembrandt.
That city saw his rise, and fall.
Although much has changed here since his days, still enough places to discover that played a role in Rembrandt's life.
A 1/2 day or a full day programme is possible.
Half day is in Amsterdam OR Leiden.
Full day is in Amsterdam AND Leiden.
Leiden is about half an hour by train from Amsterdam

However, with this programme comes a good bit of walking.
