Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Tirana. Arrival at the “Mother Teresa “airport and meet with our representative. Transfer to Tirana and accommodation at the Tafaj hotel.

Day 2: Tirana is the capital of Albania and enjoys a beautiful setting between the ranges of Dajti Mountain. From one side and the coastal plains on the other one. Tirana is 110 m above sea level. The average annual temperatures are in July 24°C and in January 7°C. Annual rainfalls are 1200 mm per year. Tirana’s city superficies is 31 km 2. Tirana is on the same parallel as Naples, Madrid and Istanbul and on the same meridian as Budapest and Krakow.

Your morning city tour begins from Skanderbeg Square, named after the Albanian hero the main landmark of the city. Pilgrims from far and wide reach the Et'hem Bey Mosque to offer prayers. The Clock Tower next to the Et'hem Bey Mosque, National Museum- north of Scanderbeg Square, The Palace of Culture, The monument to Mother Albania and The National Historical Museum are the significant spots that catch up the attention of one and all who make a visit to the city.

This afternoon is free for you to explore Tirana’s lovely shops and boutiques. After that depart for Dajti Mountain by cable car. In the Dajti Mountain, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery, climbing with the Cable Car for 15 min on the top of the mountain. The tour continues with a walking tour in green area of mountain with stops for breath taking. A lunch will be taken in one of the popular restaurants. After lunch, will return to the Cable Car station by car, and descending in the city.

Day 3: Tirana - Kruja - Lezha - Shkodra. Kruja - The historic town of Kruja is located 32 km northwest of Durres and 30 minutes by car from the international Airport of Rinas. The town of Kruja rises 560 meters above sea level, on the slopes of Sari-Salltiku Mountain. It provides to the visitors the great view of majestic landscape and a rich collection of historical and cultural objects.

The most important is the castle of Kruja, which was built during the 5th and 6th centuries and has an elliptical shape with a total area of 2.25 hectares. The surrounding walls are reinforced by nine towers, which served as an observation and signaling post during times of war. Within the walls of the castle there can still be found the remains of a few houses. Continue to Shkodra and visit one of the best Castles in Albania Rozafa castle, over night in Hotel Tradita Shkoder

Day 4: Shkoder - Koman - Valbona Valley. Departure from our office in Shkodra for Koman. Traveling by private car half an hour away from Shkodra, we enter the world of the Albanian Alps. We stop in Koman, a huge dam built in the 1980's which encases the waters of Drin and creates one of the biggest artificial lakes of the country. We travel to Fierze by ferry. Passing the mountains through the canyon created by the river Drin, the route reveals the wild beauty of the Albanian Alps. We will have lots of opportunities to take pictures of unique views of the lake. Later cross at Breg Lumi near Fierze and travel to Bajram Curri. Accommodation in the guesthouses of Valbona Valley.

Day 5: Free Day in Albanian Alps in Valbona valley meet with Local people, and visit some local houses, and test Albanian traditional drink Raki. Accommodation in the guesthouses of Valbona Valley.

Day 6: Valbona - Theth. After breakfast, departure from Valbona. Hiking from Valbona to Theth takes 6-7 hours (packed lunch on the way). The 40 km long Valbona Valley brings us right to the heart of the Albanian Alps. With an area of 8,000 hectares, the National Park Valbona Valley is the gem of the Albanian Alps. The high and craggy mountains present to the visitors a fantastic festival of colors in every season. Valbona Village is the focal point of the Park. Its forests, river and creeks, flowers, characteristic dwellings, and the hospitality of its people make it an ideal place to visit. We will stay overnight in one of these houses and experience the hospitality of the people. We walk downhill from the guesthouse, and visit attractions of the village, such as: the Church, the Kulla e Ngujimit (a tower house used in the past by men as a shelter from enemies with whom they had "blood feuds"), the Theth Waterfall, and Grunasi Canyon. Dinner is served at the guesthouses.

Day 7: Grunasi Canyon. After breakfast, we set out to see the center of the village.On the way we take time to visit the small waterfall of Grunasi Canyon. We arrive at the village where we visit the church and the tower of refuge. Departure to the large Waterfall of Grunasi. Lunch and time at leisure to enjoy the nature and waterfalls of Grunasi. We return to the guesthouse. Dinner in the guesthouses.

Day 8: Theth - Nderlyse. On our fourth day, we have the chance to discover wonderful hidden places passing the valley of Nderlyse. Trekking from our departure point of Theth to Nderlyse, we pass through the mountain streams that wend their way through sunken bathtubs created by tempers of nature. Arriving at the village of Nderlyse, the feeling of desolation and loneliness becomes tangible. Going from one abandoned house to another we hear about the difficulties of life in former times. Lunch and further visits of the scenery. Return to the village and overnight in one of the guesthouses.

Day 9: Free day in Albanian Alps in Thethi meet with Local people, and visit some local houses around very nice and welcome people. Accommodation in the guesthouses of Thethi.

Day 10: Theth - Boga. After breakfast at the guesthouse, we leave Theth to start trekking towards the village of Boga. We use a narrow pathway through the Albanian Alps that connects the villages of Thethi and Boga. After two hours we arrive at the pass. It offers stunning views of Bjeshket e Namuna (The Accursed Mountains). The route continues downhill along the side of Radohima Mountain until we reach the village of Boga. We have lunch in this picturesque village surrounded by vertical slopes with peaks above 2000m high. Accommodation in the guesthouses of Boga.

Day 11: After breakfast at the guesthouse, we leave Boga the private car picks us up at Boga village and brings us 50km back to Shkoder. We visit the Shkodra city. In the evening we go out to one of the restaurants at the lakeside to enjoy the traditional fish specialties looking at the panorama of the lake of Shiroka over night in Hotel Tradita in Shkodra.

Day 12: Shkodra – Tirana Airport Transfer to “Mother Teresa” airport for your return flight home.
