Day 1: Welcome to Albania. Arrival in Tirana airport. Meeting with a Tour Director upon arrival, transfer to the hotel in Durres. 40km Day 2: Sightseeing Durres, the Roman amphitheatre. Arrive in Berat and afternoon city tour. Berat - known as the “city of thousand windows” and declared “museum city”. Within its walls there are dwelling houses and the Onufri Museum. City tour in Tepelene Ali Pasha castle and museum. Arrival in Korce late afternoon. O/N in Korce. Day 6: Visit of the Medieval Museum, the bazaar and Mirahori mosque in Korce. Departure to Macedonia. Visit of the Ancient site Heraclea Luncaestys founded by Philip II of Macedonia. Drive to Tikvesh wine region and visit one of many wineries in that region. Visit of Stobi ancient site on the way to Skopje. O/N in Skopje. Day 9: Morning sightseeing tour Skopje by bus panoramic view of the all main attractions in Skopje. Afternoon visit of Matka gorge the unique natural park near Skopje on the way to Mavrovo. Arrival in Mavrovo late afternoon. Dinner and O/N in Mavrovo. Day 10: Drive along the Mavrovo national park and arrival to the Monastery of St. Jovan Bigorski (18th century) the Monastery is very famous by its best preserved wooden iconostasis in Macedonia. Afternoon at leisure in Ohrid. Dinner and O/N in Ohrid. Day 11: Departure to Tirana. Sightseeing Tirana upon arrival. Evening at leisure in Tirana. O/N in Tirana. Day 12: Visit Kruje the picturesque birthplace of Georg Kastriot - Skenderbeg and its castle before departure to the airport.
