Day 1: Upon arrival at Keflavík International Airport, the Flight bus is taken to the B.S.I. Reykjavik where you will be met by one of us and transported to our resort where your group will be served dinner and the travel schedule reviewed. After dinner you could relax in our Jacuzzi before you retire for the night. Day 2: Departure from our establishment. Your destination is a mountain cabin called hallarmóli. The cabin is situated in a beautiful location on the edge of the highlands. Distance: 29 km. Day 3: Upon departure from Hallarmóli we take the direction in the highland. Direction Isahryggur. After we have climbed up we go to Ísarhrygg. We ride from there to Háifossi. Háifoss is 122 meters, and it is the third highest waterfall on Iceland. There we try to stop so we can have a good look at it. Then we ride to a very nice house Holaskógur. There we can have a nice and warm shower. Distance: 28 km. Day 4: Departure from Hólaskógur on horseback and across Þjórsá, which is the longest river in Iceland. Then we ride along the river for an hour or so. There we stop and change horses, also we might be lucky and get some coffee. Then we ride on the north side of Vallafell and from there on to the lover slopes of Löðmundur mountain which is 1074 meters high. This is one of mine favorites spots. We stay overnight in Landmannahellir, with good amenities and sheltered by surrounding high mountains. Distance: 34 km. Day 5: This day we travel from Landmannahellir to Landmannalaugar where we stop for about 3-4 hours and you can explore the surroundings and bathe in the warm springs. We then continue on horseback to Landmannahellir again where we stay overnight. This is a day with high speed. The horses love to go in the black sand/ash. Distance: 40 km. Day 6: We go from Landmannahellir and follow a trail that lies south to Vallafell. This trail lies close to the volcano Hekla and the surrounding landscape has been formed by past eruptions. Lava and black pumice sand, an enjoyable riding trail through barren and savage landscape. We stay in Hólaskógur overnight. Distance: 34 km. Day 7: This is the last day on horseback. We travel from Hólaskógur through Þjórsárdalur where we see Gjáin and Stöng and then continue riding through the woods in Þjórsárdalur. The day ends with a dinner at our resort where we relax and enjoy ourselves together. Distance: 39 km. Day 8: After having rested well during the night on the excellent beds we part for Reykjavik where the journey comes to an end. Notes: Price Includes:
